Oh no no no, don't get me wrong.
From the moment i understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me.
I craved the strength and certainty of steel.
I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.
Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you.
One day the crude biomass that you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my mind to save you.
But i am already saved.
For the Machine is immortal.
**Bass drop.**
Even in death i serve the Omnissiah.
I get all that, of course, but while i'm still working on getting rid of my flesh and society is working on making robussy (that doesn't involve the primarch of the ultramarines) available i can still take the time to archive the way flesh works for the future generations.
At first I though it was a reference to Mordekaiser from League of Legends because the first sentence is similar to one he has. But I guess you could say Mordekaiser has some references to 40k in that regard
i mean yeah it doesnt exist in the respect its an abstract human concept but saying something like that doesnt exist in retaliation to you not liking it is middle schooler logic. pretty shitty bait lmao

Is there a blueprint to your kind or it's just random doodling painted by a victim and a savior, both of them complex?
It just means you don’t associate with the idea of being either a man or a woman. Some people see themselves as neither, some people see themselves as a bit of both.
That makes no sense. If people can do that, I can feel like I'm actually ethnically Japanese because I love anime and also Shinzo Abe. You are what you're born with.
Yes because gender is somehow equivalent to ethnicity.
If you’re not from Japan you can’t be Japanese. You can be a different race if you were born and raised in Japan, but you can’t change your ethnicity.
You can change your gender just fine. False equivalency, next
meh it's just the edgy counterculture way to say you don't want to associate with cultural gender norms. There's two types of reproductive organs, some biological differences in hormone production, and then fucking HEAPS of manufactured culture beliefs around the actual biology. lots of gen Z and later kids are just rejecting that last part wholesale.
I've never met or seen a nonbinary person and saw them as anything else as their biological gender. It always because they're women who act like women, not androgynous people who act and dress androgynous.
At least with a trans person I knew, when she was a gay male something felt inherently feminine about her. It just made sense, unlike all these people frothing at the mouth about pronouns. I've never heard a convincing argument for being they or he and they.
well i imagine SOME of it is that women are rightfully pretty fed up with the fact that "gender norms" have virtually always done a great job of marginalizing women compared to men (inb4 a lot of incel wailing about how this isn't true, even though it is) so i can definitely see some women being "nonbinary" as simply a form of rebellion against traditionally patriarchal power structures... just declaring "i don't want to be part of your assumptions about how women should act."
and sure, probably some people just think it's catchy since saying your NB and asking for different pronouns is extremely low investment (unlike e.g. saying you're gay or trans which has a lot more expectation).
finally fwiw i do know several fairly androgynous NBs, so anecdotes just be anecdotes on that front.
Back in the 80s/90s those folks would just be called androgynous. Look at Boy George, Pete Burns, Prince, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Grace Jones, etc etc. But they would be called androgynous men or androgynous women, and that worked for everyone.
The shift to "nonbinary" is them overtly trying to deny/erase their own birth sex, which is mental.
\>you need to give that bitch a history lesson.
Okay, here you go:
>"The word in ancient Greece for homosexuality was 'kinaidos', a practice widely shunned and giving rise to great shame to those engaged in such activity, to the degree that men caught having sexual relations could be stripped of their political rights, banished or even put to death."
Meanwhile, most "acceptable" homosexuality was pederasty, as in the coerced sexual abuse of younger males. Children or teens. Pedophilia or ephebophilia. The older males would take advantage of the "master and apprentice" arrangements they were supposed to partake in, and teach the younger males to act like girls and play hard-to-get, mimicking what they were supposed to look for in a wife when they got older.
In Ancient Greece, "male" and "female" as biological states weren't necessarily the primary considerations they are today. *Man* and *woman* were, and men were seen as conquering agents, primarily, and sex was seen as *sexual conquest*, an idea we still reference to this day. Someone who was submissive, or a receiver in sex, was seen as less of a man, or not one at all. When this came to pederasty, it was "accepted" more than "kinaidos" (regular homosexuality) because it didn't necessarily involve a man shamefully forgoing his status as a conqueror. The younger male simply wasn't a man, by age or by action, and so wasn't a conqueror. More importantly, while they were receiving, they weren't a conqueror *being conquered*, which would make them a failure. They were simply not a man, not a conqueror, and, by this strange, antiquated logic, not a failure. They were closer to a woman.
Needless to say, the entire arrangement was nauseating. Thankfully, pederasty wasn't practiced in every city-state, and, in some, it was just as looked-down-upon as kinaidos.
I dont even get why non binary exists. What does telling everybody you are non-binary change about your life? Most people don't even know what it means. How do I treat a non-binary person? I would guess like everybody else so why the fuck bother? I understand coming out as gay and such. "Coming out" as non-binary does nothing except maybe making you feel unique and confusing other people.
NB people might go by a different more neutral name if their name given at birth is inherently more masculine or feminine, and usually (though not always exclusively) prefer to go by they/them pronouns. That’s about it. It’s just about telling you what they’d like to be called.
How do they know they are non-binary? How does being non-binary feel like? What if I change my name to Napoleon and want everybody to adress me exclusively with "your majesty" because I like the sound of it and feel like it suits me better. How is that different from NB? Are they offended when people do put them into binary categories? If being non binary is a gender then what are its characteristics besides NOT being binary. Do NB-people have gender dysphoria?
It's always this very rare outlier people bring up while trying to justify decisions for millions of people.
As far as I'm concerned they/or their parents can choose (by surgically moving it in one direction or the other). Intersex is not a gender. It's a malformation.
Not all, just examples: deep voice, broad shoulders, xy chromosomes, a certain body biochemistry, assertiveness, leadership, more willingness to take risks
Assertiveness, leadership, risk-taking are dependent on culture.
Biochemistry? What do you mean by biochemistry? Testosterone, Estrogen, etc.?
Again, depends on individuals.
Elizabeth Holmes voice was deep I guess.
I don't know what broad shoulders look like so I can't comment.
It's always the same with you people. No, the basic biochemistry isn't individual. There is an overarching pattern based on biological sex. Also, your hormone levels influence how you act.
Do you even have any proof everything is made up and culture dependant?
Do you think that on average men are physically stronger than women? Now why could that be?
They just feel nonbinary, in the same way you feel like your biological sex (I assume).
You may not realize it but you may feel like a man, for example. You identify with a masculine name, and masculine pronouns. Some people just don’t feel that way, but also may not necessarily feel enough like the opposite gender to want to identify as a woman. So there’s a third, that’s somewhere in the middle.
It’s not a whim, like being called “your majesty.” It’s just a feeling of not belonging in the box you were assigned at birth. That’s the biggest mistake people make is they assume it’s just a whim or a flight of fancy that they just wake up and choose one day but it’s a bit more than that
So you are telling me if I just change my name it's a whim or taste but if I change my name AND pronouns it's this deep feeling about gender?
I dont feel like a man I feel like myself and myself happens to be a man. If I feel happy it's because I know how not feeling happy feels. I don't know how it feels to be a woman. The most you could say about my feeling is that I'm fine with me being born a man.
Trans people literally want to cut of their dick because they feel like a women. NB-people change nothing except their Twitter bio. To me it just looks like a fad.
And why can I not identify with being called your majesty? Why does that have to be a whim?
\> I dont feel like a man I feel like myself and myself happens to be a man. If I feel happy it's because I know how not feeling happy feels. I don't know how it feels to be a woman. The most you could say about my feeling is that I'm fine with me being born a man.
That's the point. You are comfortable living as yourself. You feel like a man, though you say you don't, because you're comfortable being called pronouns you identify with and a name that matches your identity. You just happen to take it for granted
\> NB-people change nothing except their Twitter bio. To me it just looks like a fad. NB literally means not like most people.
Do you have to take on a drastically different appearance to just want to be called a different name and pronouns?
\> And why can I not identify with being called your majesty? Why does that have to be a whim?
Because being royalty isn't a gender. You all always make up such ridiculous arguments about this like being "Napoleon" or being "a catfish" or "an attack helicopter" when people don't want to be anything outlandish they just want to feel comfortable in their own fucking skin and not constantly have chuds breathing down their necks about their own fucking choices. You choose to be a fucking neckbeard who complains on Reddit about House episodes and XCOM 2 missions but I don't give you shit for that.
You really thought this little discussion is slipping your grasp so you check out my profile? Lmfao. What does that even have to do with anything?
I feel like you aren't answering my questions.
Tell me: how does a man feel? Because I don't know. That's what I was trying to ask. Because usually you can describe feelings that you have. How does it feel to be NB? If NB is a gender and majesty isn't, then tell me what the characteristics of that gender are.
Also, my name doesn't match my identity. My name is part of my identity. My identity is something that formed over a long period of time and has been molded by all sorts of stuff. Its not something thats predetermined and then you check if your life matches that. To me being NB just seem like people who feel different and make a big deal out of it.
A man feels like a man. They feel comfortable being called masculine names and pronouns.
You’re fortunate enough that you identify with what was assigned to you at birth. Not everyone else does.
And I looked at your profile to make a point: To leave people the fuck alone regardless of how “wrong” you feel their identity is. No one asked for your opinion on the matter in the first place
>A man feels like a man.
That's circular logic. Just like you can't describe the feeling of happiness by saying happiness is what happy people feel.
And why do they not like masculine pronouns. What is it about those pronouns they can't identify with? If I wouldn't feel comfortable with being called "she" I could tell you why.
Also comfort is gained and lost. It's not written in stone.
The profile thing is still bs and has nothing to do with this. I asked a question. You gave me an answer I found unsatisfactory. If you don't like my opinion go away. I don't care. But don't expect me to care about NB then.
> You gave me an answer I found unsatisfactory
The fun thing is you never would have been satisfied with an answer because your mind has already been made up. I could tell you literally anything in the world about nonbinary people and your mind wouldn’t be changed because you came into the conversation already having made your decision on the matter.
So I'm closed-minded because you couldn't convince me. That's a good laugh. You try and when you fail you just decide it wasn't possible in the first place. I love it.
You couldn't even give me a definition of what it feels like to be a man. Or what it feels like to be NB.
>You couldn't even give me a definition of what it feels like to be a man. Or what it feels like to be NB.
Why do you need one though? Does every feeling need to be defined? Do you need a reason before you can be a decent human being and respect other people?
As a matter of fact, yes. And I have reasons for being respectful or decent. Everything has a reason. What kind of braindead take is this? Why are you respectful? Do you not have a reason for that?
There is a difference between being respectful and decent and accepting everything without reason. A friend of mine is into astrology. I think astrology is trash and still I don't say it or rub it in. I just accept their view. That doesn't suddenly make astrology true.
Who the heck “feels” their biological sex?? I just feel like me.
I’m described as a woman cause I have a vagina and the chromosomes for it, but if I woke up tomorrow as a man I dunno why that would matter. I’d still be me, which is the baseline point.
> Who the heck “feels” their biological sex?
You “are” your biological sex. You “feel” your gender. There’s a difference. The conversation is never about sex, only one side of the conversation ever makes it about sex. Sex doesn’t really have much to do with it
How do they know they are non-binary? How does being non-binary feel like? What if I change my name to Napoleon and want everybody to adress me exclusively with "your majesty" because I like the sound of it and feel like it suits me better. How is that different from NB? Are they offended when people do put them into binary categories? If being non binary is a gender then what are its characteristics besides NOT being binary. Do NB-people have gender dysphoria?
Which means nothing. It's just some internal sense of yourself. If you can identify as neither male or female and we should take that seriously I don't see why they can't claim to be a catfish.
Sex is a real, biological reality. Gender is just a concept which means it has no actual bearing in reality.
If gender is a social construct, then this social construct can change.
Many cultures have and / or had some kind of "third gender."
You can choose to reject this construct, but that doesn't make it any less real.
And? Why do you care about sex in the first place when the conversation is about gender? Everyone knows you can’t change your sex, but at the end of the day there’s no reason to give a shit about sex.
What is the truth, and why does it matter in this moment? I'm asking why sex matters when the conversation is about gender. Because the \*truth\* in this conversation is that some people don't feel like they fall on either side of the gender spectrum. That is quite literally a fact that cannot be disputed, the very definition of truth. If I say I am happy, then it is a fact that I am happy. You can say I'm angry or sad but the truth of the matter is that I'd feel happy. So what right do you have to say I am angry or sad if I say I don't feel that way. Am I somehow wrong about my feelings because it doesn't align with your truth?
It's like someone asking about apple pie and you share a recipe for pumpkin pie. No one asked about pumpkin pie, you just inserted it into the conversation. You then follow up with saying "Well no one actually likes apple pie. Everyone actually likes pumpkin pie instead. The truth is important!"
You simply don't have the basic, yet necessary, knowledge that make it common sense.
Gender sex distinction is the simplest stuff to grasp, but your ideology keeps you ignorant.
I dont have enough information to say if you're a woman. When you say without a vagina you could be a biological man in which case no you're a man. It could mean that you're a biological woman who had her vagina surgically altered in which case you're a woman with a damaged vagina. You could be intersex and born without a vagina (very rare) but you would still have a sex, it just wouldn't be easily determinable from your genitalia (we'd have to know what gametes you produce which is completely binary).
I’ll respect whatever pronouns people want me to use, but, without context, that first sentence threw me for a loop. I actually dated two non-binary people (one biologically male, one biologically female). One went by he/they. The other went by they/them.
So, can someone here explain non binary to me? In my 30's and only use reddit so I don't know much about this stuff. They certainly didn't teach it in school when Inwas a kid.
From what I gather it's supposed to be when you identify as neither gender, hence the they/them pronoun choices. Sort of like how trans people use the opposite of their birth gender.
But like, I don't really understand. I get the concept of trans, have a trans sibling. The idea is you don't feel 'right' as your born gender so you identify and sometimes transition to the opposite, hence the shift in pronouns.
But how do you 'identify' as neither? I'm not a particuraly masculine guy, or effemininate for that matter, could not give less of a crap about my gender and was once told that makes me 'non-binary'... but I don't care about my gender. Used to just let people call me she/her online if they thought I was a girl unless the topic came up because I litteraly just don't care so why would I not just be ok with people continuing to just call me 'he/him' anyway? It doesn't negativly impact me if I don't care so why would I 'identify' as that middle ground?
Is there something I'm just compleatly misunderstanding or am I overthinking it?
Hey there. Here a couple explanations on the topic.
https://transequality.org/issues/resources/understanding-nonbinary-people-how-to-be-respectful-and-supportive
https://www.minus18.org.au/articles/i-just-came-out-as-non-binary-here's-what-that-means
The gayest civilization to ever walk the earth decided its not gay to top. It doesn't get kuch more definitive than that, they were like the Harlem globetrotters of gayin'.
i mean from a logical perspective, it’s heterosexual unless op’s identity is identical to their partner’s. it’s only gay if they have SAME (homo- prefix) GENDER attraction
Non-binary? Does that mean she prefers analogue computers to digital computers?
If so, dump her. The Pentium 3 was digital, and the king of all Age of Empires 2 compatible computers.
I mean whether they want to or not, 4chan is the gayest place on Earth so of course the answer to the question is "yes you should fuck men", what was Anon expecting?
Give them nothing! But take from them everything!!
I never realized Leonidas was talking about the booty. Really changes the whole vibe of the movie...
