How exactly do you cope with the rigors of trucking IN NEW YORK CITY?

I could never dare try that, particularly in a commercial vehicle. How are you able to manage, regardless? If I ever get a commercial driving job, I'd never want to leave the rural Midwest. I think semis need to be banned from there, and only let box trucks be the only commercial freight vehicles allowed.

2-3 shots of fireball at the Lombardi plaza then a full send baby.

I’m always thankful my company doesn’t have any customers in NY City or delivering there. Been all around it though. The only time I’m in NY it’s usually to Albany

I live on the other side of the country... Never driven anything in New York. Only been there once.

I drive local and run Boston 2 days a week. Its super shitty narrow roads with crazy intersections, awful drivers and pedestrians looking at their iphone everywhere. You just got to be hyper vigilant, patient and careful.

It’s not that bad. I’ve done it for years, even with the oversized loads. Just be patient, plan ahead and know your way around. Not driving there anymore, other than occasionally passing through, without getting off the highway

Had a friend drive for a Chicken processing plant here in VA drive a regular route to NYC for something like 25 years and he said he loved it. I told him he was nuts. He retired and went to work in something other than trucking after that.
