Both their customer service live chat and phone number are AI and give me no option to speak to a real person!!

I managed to get through to a human when they lost one of my parcels. I may as well have just been speaking to a robot as they just said "Yeah it's lost in our system and there's nothing we can do about it."

Yes. I was given this advice by an Evri rep on Facebook last week when I needed to voice talk to someone:
Go to www.evri.com/help-and-support/help-centre/#/something-else
Open the chatbot and select 'It's about something else',
Then select that you are receiving and want to report damage to your property (even though there is no property damage)
You then get prompted for a free-text message rather than multiple choice. Type in your problem. Tick the box telling them you would rather communicate by phone (or email if you prefer) There's an instant email confirmation that they have got the message and will be read and responded to.
I got called back the next day by a nice human.
It shouldn't be that difficult of course but at least I talked to a human.

I know this is a late response but how bad of a red flag is it that 1 of their 3 default options is about "delivered" parcels not being delivered? I'm having that exact issue now and my case has been "open" for like 2 weeks with no response via email. And because its "open" I can't speak to via chat or phone as they say they're looking into it.

Rather than selecting an option you type "damage to property" in the text field at the bottom of the chat. It replies "OK I'll put you in touch with one of the team"

For anyone reading this in 2025, this still works at least as far as getting the chatbot to ask you for an email address and optionally a phone number. Just did it, waiting for them to get back to me.

This no longer works - there is no option to speak to a person.
For the love of God, do not use Evri (or Yodel) directly, go through Parcel2Go as they have a "dedicated team" that will deal with this (or they used to, I haven't had to contact them for a few years). Evri and Yodel make it very difficult to even get a refund as there is no customer service beyond a very primitive 'chatbot' called Ezra. I've been trying for four weeks and not had a single reply or phone number.
You can try leaving a bad review on Trustpilot - you will get a reply saying to email them. But this is just lipservice to make them look like they're invested in your bad experience, but you don't get a reply when you send that an email either.

I ordered something off eBay, it says arriving by today. But not out for delivery 🤔. I have a tracking number for Parcel2go, but they won't do anything until the deadline/estimate day passes. It's being delivered by Evri, which already stressed me out, knowing their reputation and having dealt with them before. I can't get past that damn bot either. But I don't have a tracking number for Evri, only Parcel2go, which has said "We have received details for this parcel and expect it to reach the Evri network shortly" since Wednesday morning 😭 I click on my P2G track number and it takes me to an evri page that says "We are waiting for confirmation that the courier has your parcel. If you already dropped off your parcel, please allow up to 24 hrs for the tracking to update.", also hasn't changed since Wednesday morning. It's so frustrating and I'm scared it's not gonna come 😭

My one went missing - there was absolutely nothing I could do, and I haven't had any resolution since then.
Apart from refusing to use Yodel ever again. Don't go for them if it's the cheaper option - you will get better results (although it's never easy) using a service that's a bit more expensive. Don't send anything expensive through Yodel either, even if you cover the insurance for the amount - they will 100% crawl out of paying for it.

I don't sell, but I do buy online, but note to self - if I ever have to send anyone anything, stick to royal mail or DPD. 😭
I'm just really hoping it turns up over the weekend. I've really been looking forward to what I bought. I've messaged the eBay seller to ask if they've got any info on their end about where it may be, but nothing yet. All I can see is that the seller sent it, and someone received on Wednesday, whether that's Parcel2Go or Evri, I don't know. Hoping it'll come maybe tomorrow, I just wanna see it say "out for delivery" and then see a darn parcel at my door 😭
A lot of the time, if I order anything, it usually is delivered to me either with Royal Mail, DPD or Amazon. I absolutely DREAD seeing "Your parcel will be delivered by Evri/Yodel" they're both extremely bad. Risky. Lottery if I'll get my parcel or not. I've read stuff about people who have worked for them saying a lot of staff were temporary hires who use their own car, and don't care enough to check if they've got the right address, and leave them wherever. Which sorta adds up as I've seen some use their own cars and rushing. Hoping it's a minority, or a one off, but their reputation is saying otherwise. 😕
It's just very frustrating. I just want what I bought. From what I've heard, it's equally as frustrating for those who are sellers and sending parcels to buyers, apparently it's a struggle on that side too. Apparently it's not a legal requirement for companies to have some form of customer service, although it often boosts their reputation if they have a good one, but Evri is milking it big time. Chat bot gives you 3-4 options, sends you in circles, doesn't put you through to anyone. Their email is apparently not used anymore. Heard that people ringing went through the whole bot thing again then it hung up on them. They make it hard to get in touch so you can't complain and they then don't have to compensate anyone. It's so irritating.
Tired of worrying who's gonna deliver, and whether or not they're gonna deliver if it's Evri or Yodel. I don't understand how they're still in business.

I've tried this but the bot keeps asking for my reference number, which is the problem. So I can't get anywhere. When I open the chat it literally asks for the reference as the first step so I can't do anything.

Reference number is probably the one they assign to the parcel. This can be found on the website or app. After 2 years, I hope you managed to get your parcel.

I've just this minute tried on a PC from that link and it fired up the the "it's something else" page. I clicked on the big red "start a chat" box and the bot appears and offers up "save time with an option below or tell us in your own words" I typed in "damage to property" and it said "I'll pass this on to the team, how would you like them to contact you - email or phone?"
Mayvbe clear cookies or use a different device or browser?

Lots of going round in circles, being told they would contact me, but they don't. Submitted forms, and they reject claiming forms not submitted. They really are a law unto themselves!

I know this is later but this is where I'm at with them:
I entered "00000000" as my parcel number - it then gave me the option of EVERY parcel ending in that number (even telling me the sender company details, so that seems like a GDPR issue).
I selected "No" (the number 2) for each prompt, I'm now on hold.

Yeah that never worked for me a second time.
I had to wait for a failed delivery and then leave a voice mail message, then someone emailed me.
There is literally no way of speaking to someone.
The person who wrote the email even lied to me by saying they tried to contact me.
My parcel is now on the way back to America, and then I'll have to arrange delivery again.

Tried the property damage 'hack' this morning (30th April 25) and it still works. You have to start a brand new chat for it to go through though, it won't work if there's already one going. Just put No to the asks for images. Here's hoping that they get back to me as promised...

I am on day 3 , no realistic update since dropped at parcel shop in London , initially said , we have received parcel , waiting for it to be picked up ... I googled that , it said can mean , it's at a depot , waiting to be sorted ,... 24 hrs later , sorry we could not deliver today , we will deliver tomorrow by 4 pm , 24 hours later AGAIN , ZERO UPDATE , ZERO PARCEL DELIVERED . In half an hour it will be time for me to elevate it AGAIN ,. We will see , ... About one month ago , I bought a cheap phone from China, that totally disappeared from tracking for two weeks , then , was left in a public foyer , at my address , LUCKILY , I opened my door , there it was ... Despite asking for parcel shop in tracking , it came here , to my home address , which is vulnerable for deliveries as it has internal public foyers and couriers tend to think they can just leave parcels in the building, like the disappearing, re appearing phone .... The delivery I am waiting for is of huge sentimental value AND expensive to buy , on top of that , I stupidly , looking back , asked seller to use EVRI, as royal mail ALWAYS avoid instructions, EVERY time for me , ... Now , I have to go back to the seller , after bigging EVRI up , as good couriers , to say , parcel is missing ... Worst thing is , THERE IS NO HUMAN , interaction , just words from a bot , calling itself Ezra, ... I think third world couriers are probably better , safer and more honest than EVRI. Hopefully, tomorrow, will produce my parcel , we shall see ...

Anyone wanting to avoid Evri (or any other courier) I built a site which you can search by retailers e.g. Amazon, Dunelm etc or by courier (see who each courier supplies).

Yes, sometimes Evri gets it right, but it's never worth the risk, they break parcels, deliver late, and treat you bad. I don't even know how they're still not bankrupt.

Are Everi Crooks? They have a parcel of mine in transit. There is no person I can speak to about this. What makes me suspicious is that they say there is real customer service when in fact there is only automated response so they are lying. I have managed to find a contract call centre who say they can provide human communication but the minimum charge for this is £6.00 plus. I wonder if they are keeping packages then selling them on, knowing full well no one can ask any questions.

You cannot. This is why they get away with what they do. I fact by law in the UK they have got to have a complaints procedure and a contact for the public with a separate fldkl or phone number to do so is required but they conveniently have neither. You can call their automated number which only has a few words in its vocab and if you have a complaint it will terminate your call AQ it will only allow parcel tracking '. There is no customer services email either as they actually dont offer any customer services. If you try complainting through the retailer the retailer will tell you they just ignore companies thry are contracted to do business with and I've no idea why companies choose then except they are cheap, retailers don't actually care about whether it's a good service when they make far to much money which makes them just as arrogant and abusive.uk trading standards are not interested and although they know evri has omitted complaint contact details for the public it's easier for them to to fit in the big fat round bottoms and pretend the world is prefect. I've had evri parcels stolen and undelivered and in unreturned when they were hermes now evri and after 200 complaints through catalogue not a single one has a response to the catalogue. This how arrogant thry are.Apart from that many couriers have threatened me lies stolen and told lies and got me banned from ever receiving parcels from retailers who use evri because a courter threatened me because I contacted the police after she raised her fists to hit me because I couldn't reach the door in under two seconds because I was had cancer and house bound. I therefore could not have anything delivered to my home for over a year and the police investigated her she was diverting parcels from the warehouse we don't know where to. Anyway evri told me she told them I'd beaten her up from my wheel chair with my walking stick on one hand wheel in other and they told me I was a liar and told me I was not allowed to complain or take offence.
