This is exactly why I stopped telling people I have autism. Some asshole would always pipe up "i have 12 autistic cousins who work for NASA" implying autism is bullshit and I'm just lazy. So why don't you just come out and say that?

Physically maybe 26, career hopefully not yet, been in the same relationship for 17 years so hard to say when the peak was there. Your life isn't over yet, still plenty of time to achieve goals or just try to make yourself happier. FWIW I'm also autistic and have another disability that has robbed me of most of the things I used to enjoy. I promise you there are things out there for you that you can become passionate about. Also you don't need to define your life on anyone else's terms. If education and career isn't something you're interested in or can realistically pursue, concentrate on something you can. I've spent a long time being really hard on myself about the things I can't do anymore, putting effort into the things I CAN do always end up making me much happier.

Same tbh. Had a previous peak in 1998/99. Chillin at home playing with legos, family was doing okay, went on trips, don't remember any doom on TV.

Intellectually? Probably when I passed the 11 plus. Looks wise? Probably 22, and I was being asked out by strangers on the street (though I put it down to the feng shui I used to try to improve my love life). Emotionally? Still waiting.

I think 18, at the time I thought I had peaked, first proper girlfriend, losing my virginity, had a lot of friends, was out 3 nights a week. Looking back I was working in fast food, miserable, closeted, way too skinny. So now i’d probably say 29. That year was my first boyfriend, nice respectable job that I don’t mind telling people I have, more holidays and financial independence etc.

40. Had a house, family, pets, financial security. All the prior work settled into place. No real worries, everything was stable. Now much of that remains. But a lot of people have passed, the divorce took a hit, and family as much as I love them, can be quite demanding of time and emotional labour. And I don't see any of this getting any better until the kids are older and then _I'm_ the problem.

Probably around 19 - 22. Really enjoyed my Foundation college course and Uni degree (enjoyed the foundation course marginally more). Was studying something creative that I enjoyed, and I felt engaged. After uni I tried to work in the creative industry - and I did, for 10 years or so. But the gig based economy didn't really work for me so I was poor and it sucked the enjoyment out of life. Things are objectively fine now, I guess, but frankly those student days were great, and everything since then has just been comparitively shit.
