What other cars are you wary of when on the road?

I think it's widely understood that you should be wary of BMWs, Audis etc. (lack of indicators being installed for a start) but what other cars do you try to avoid when they're near you on the road?
For me it's the Honda Jazz. I don't think I've ever seen one where the driver hasn't made me think "What the fuck are you doing?"
Single-Aardvark9330@reddit
White vans, usually like to go ten over when legally they should be doing ten under and like to get a bit too close. I know two different people who have been rear ended by one
MD564@reddit
I came to say this. First accident ever a couple years ago, white van rear ended me. I've moved closer London and I've seen some insane stuff from white van drivers.
Gallen1975@reddit
Range rovers
kwakcheese@reddit
Nissan Jukes - not looking where they're going. Usually have at least 1 light out and fog lights on when not foggy.
Black cabs - think they own the road but drive worse than the average white van. Only give way to them if legally required.
Toyota Priuses/Priui - driving at 15mph in all conditions and stop/turn at random without indicating. Overtake at first opportunity.
I'm less wary of beemers/SUVs because the owners care more about them and always lose at car chicken. Still won't give way to SUVs unless legally required.
mrginge94@reddit
Peugeots usually. They are often driven by absoloute morons who weve all over the road, drive at half the speed limit and/or pull out on you. Same for Citroen berlingos.
Billypisschips@reddit
Vauxhalls, the drivers have the motoring equivalent of small man syndrome.
Serenbellax@reddit
We’re not all bad, I’m 5”2 but I drive very sensibly in my viva
TremendousCustard@reddit
2011 Agila driver here, never broken the speed limit.
jammyscones@reddit
In particular, Vauxhall MPV drivers.
TremendousCustard@reddit
Elderly people in anything other than a small car. Nissan Jukes, etc. No spatial awareness whatsoever.
I think they buy the car of their dreams in retirement and the modern version tends to be a lot bigger than what it used to be...
ItsIllak@reddit
Just be wary of anyone in one of the following and you should be fine:
AC AK Abarth Alfa Romeo Alpine Ariel Aston Martin Audi Austin BMW BYD Beauford Bentley Bowler Bramwith Bugatti CFMOTO CUPRA Cadillac Caterham Chesil Chevrolet Chrysler Citroen Corvette Crendon Custom Vehicle DAF DFSK DS AUTOMOBILES Dacia Daewoo Daihatsu Daimler Datsun Dax De Tomaso Dodge Ferrari Fiat Ford GMC GWM ORA Gardener Genesis Motor Great Wall Hillman Holden Honda Hummer Hyundai Infiniti Isuzu Iveco Jaguar Jeep Jensen Kia LEVC Lada Lagonda Lamborghini Lanchester Lancia Land Rover Lexus Leyland Lincoln Lister Locust London Taxis International Lotus MAXUS MG MINI MOKE Marcos Marlin Maserati Maybach Mazda McLaren Mercedes-Benz Mitsubishi Mitsuoka Morgan Morris NG Nardini Nissan Noble Opel Panther Perodua Peugeot Piaggio Polaris Polestar Pontiac Porsche Proton Radical Reliant Renault Replica Riley Robin Hood Rolls-Royce Rover SEAT SKODA Saab Shelby Smart Spyker SsangYong Subaru Suzuki TVR Talbot Tesla Tiger Toyota Triumph Ultima Vauxhall Volkswagen Volvo Westfield Yamaha
Jcw28@reddit
Vauxhall Insignias seem to be exclusively driven by people (maybe reps?) who are always in a hurry and no matter how fast you are going in the outside lane it won't be fast enough for them. They need to learn their place.
OkTry4424@reddit
I mentioned in a thread the other day that the BMW/Audi jokes confuse me as I see them indicating all the time. Loads of replies which said one of two things (or both) - 1. It's massively outdated. 2. It's a Reddit trope.
The Honda Jazz thing stacks up too, and the same applies to modern Peugeot drivers.
Geek_reformed@reddit
I've always gone with the not everyone who drives a BMW/Audi is a bad driver, but a lot of bad drivers tend to drive BMW/Audi cars.
Sort of confirmation bias. You notice when someone is driving badly/aggressively.
ShadyAidyX@reddit
The only reason a BMW driver indicates is to prevent that bloody annoying beeping from the Lane Departure Warning siren
DJ1NF3RN0@reddit (OP)
To be honest I agree, there are some BMW/Audi drivers that clearly don't know what they're doing but I wouldn't say any more than any other car. Probably is a Reddit trope, but hey, I'm posting this on Reddit 🤷♂️ lol
jordsta95@reddit
Anyone who's in the middle lane of the motorway and I'm catching up to whilst my speedo says I'm doing 70 and there's no traffic ahead of you.
Or people who aren't in the left hand lane when the road is pretty much empty.
As for specific cars? None in particular. A twat can drive any car.
Bonus points though. Any car on the German autobahn. The Germans are sticklers for the rules, but when it comes to indicating. It's as if they go "It's been on for 0.01 seconds and there is a gap, I shall move now".
MrPogoUK@reddit
They seem to have dropped in popularity, but for a while Mini’s seemed to be the car of choice of “girl racers” who drove them like maniacs with lead boots on.
three_shoes@reddit
All Taxis.
Small, modern Japanese and other 'fridge on wheels' cars with an old person in it, though they can also be driven by younger people who are quietly a bit scared of driving and will be indicisive and unpredictable.
I actually gravitate towards the BMW and Audi drivers to be honest, because at least they get on with it and 'make progress'.
OkTry4424@reddit
Taxis are generally the only cars I'll let out at junctions and the like. You're more or less guaranteed they won't fuck about and are in a hurry.
Other than that, there is no way to tell if the car you're about to let out is going to do 15 miles an hour for the next 20 miles so it isn't worth the risk.
MrPogoUK@reddit
I find they can be a big gamble. Sometimes they’ve got a fare on board and another pick up scheduled so they want to get to their destination ASAP, but at others they’re cruising along well below the limit because they evidently have nowhere to be and are waiting for a call to come in.
Huge_Negotiation_535@reddit
Idk man taxis are the only people I see doing the speed limit, taxis with passengers anyway.
TontineWinner@reddit
I was trying to articulate the "weird cars that the elderly seem to exclusively drive" and you've done it earlier and way better. Hard agree.
DaveEFI@reddit
Never mind, pet. One day you'll be able to afford a BMW or Audi - even used.
EasySignature179@reddit
Similar to this, i never ever park next to a vauxhall zafira
Lunchy_Bunsworth@reddit
In addition to the usual suspects (BMWs , Audis , M-Bs and certain types of Range Rover) some Tesla's seem to be driven by idiots. One weaved in and out of three lanes of traffic undertaking cars the other day and just missed hitting the back of an artic as he squeezed through a small gap to cut up someone in a Volvo.
Dude_and_The_Bug@reddit
I’m not weary of any, but I do hate all 4x4’s. Too many reasons to list.
OkTry4424@reddit
I've become more wary of the dislike of SUVs (which is what most people mean by 4x4, as I can see no reason to dislike a specific drivetrain setup) since being half-forced to drive one.
Went from a Golf to a T-Roc and was surprised to learn the T-Roc is only a few inches longer and actually weighs about 200kg less than a Golf.
A lot of the hatred/dislike of SUVs is also politically motivated, which we can't discuss on here, but it's the opposite of what most people think.
ShadyAidyX@reddit
We’ve had a number of cars on Motability. My MIL was insured on our Volvo V40 and she loved it. When we swapped it for a Ford Kuga she refused to drive it because, in her words, it was completely obnoxious, a dreadfully oversized car that had no place on the roads and made me look like arrogant idiot because of how large it was
She steadfastly refused to believe that the V40 was actually an inch wider and only about 5-6 inches shorter than the Kuga. The Kuga was much easier to park
bens676@reddit
Every VW Golf is driven by a wanker. Every Honda Jazz is driven by his grandma.
incredibubblez@reddit
I'm a cyclist. So every single one of them.
ClaustrophobicSting@reddit
Prius. Generally speaking it’s an Uber driver who’ll randomly stop in the middle of the street with no warning to let a load of passengers out - and take their sweet time sauntering to the boot to get the luggage out too. Never mind the cars behind waiting to get past.
Metrobolist3@reddit
All of them as I'm a pedestrian. Especially fucking white vans since one time one ran a red light at a pedestrian crossing and missed me by about a two inches.
LaidBackLeopard@reddit
All cars. Some people are idiots. Luckily most aren't.
MacaronNo8954@reddit
This, exactly this. 100% this.
justanoldwoman@reddit
Any with a personalized number plate and/or any clean 4x4.
RaceFan1027@reddit
Audi A3. All the people I know who are bad drivers own one and a lot of the road idiots seem to have them.
Ethicsgradien7@reddit
If it says Addison Lee on the rear window.
sksk2456@reddit
I think the honda jazz is almost exclusively driven by old people who definitely need to stop driving due to poor eyesight and extremely slow reaction times, although this could just be where I live. I also find nissan qashqai drivers are generally quite shit
Norsa321@reddit
Toyota Prius. At least round my end, there’s an 80% chance it’s a taxi and therefore rules of the road are optional guidelines.
Saturnuria@reddit
Until recently, Nissan Micras. Seemingly a car of choice for the new driver and the elderly.
From my experience, always assume a Nissan Micra driver is unaware of anything and everything around them.
They’re less common as they were. Slowly being replaced by the Honda Jazz.
pfmacdonald@reddit
All white vans
bluejackmovedagain@reddit
Nissan Juke, always a nightmare with no spacial awareness.
ClockworkSkyy@reddit
Honda Jazz.
Always that old person driving one who's completely oblivious to the world around them, no indicators, lane switching at will and always going well below the speed limit.
tobytesticleteeth@reddit
Lol, yeah, just ignore the bulk of em, you will be sound af
BringBackFatMac@reddit
Honda Jazz isn’t really a remarkable/recognisable enough car for me to have an opinion of its drivers
Emphursis@reddit
Anyone with a plate starting with BO55, MR or MR5. Guarantee that they’re all insufferable pricks who think the road belongs to them and their poverty spec BMW.
TEE_l@reddit
All of them
TheNotSpecialOne@reddit
Honda Jazz is an excellent example, I just came back on motorway and some eejit in a Honda Jazz was pooling along at 60 in middle lane and never moved to the left despite about a dozen cars all undertaking her
vientianna@reddit
Those little boxey cars that are always orange or gold or some other terrible colour and are exclusively driven by old people who can’t drive. Give them a wide berth every time
Fragrant-Attorney-73@reddit
Vauxhall Mokka every time… seems to be driven by a social breed of cretin.
SerpensPorcus@reddit
All of them, tbh. Don't trust anyone.
Specifically.. minis. If I see someone doing something mind-blowingly what-the-actual-fuck are you doing it's usually a mini.

Minicabs. Almost always seem to be the most unnecessarily aggressive drivers. Obviously a generalisation but so often seem to be selfish, impatient, often not using indicators. And minicabs noticeably worse than old school taxis.
