IFR Flight plan

Is it legal for a private pilot doing instrument training to file for & accept an IFR flight plan on a training flight with a CFII? Must the flight plan be linked back to the CFII, or is it okay if all the information links back to the training pilot because they are logging PIC time?

You need to list the CFII as the pilot on the flight plan. [This](https://www.reddit.com/r/flying/comments/rs39qf/can_instrument_student_file_flight_plan/) thread has the LOI.

The flight plan will be under your CFIIs name, you can only file IFR if you have an instrument rating.
