I mean theoretically the transmission wouldn’t be made by ram though right? I’m not to in tune with truck manufacturing but don’t a lot of trucks have options for engines and transmissions not built by the manufacturer?

There's plenty of options that are not made by the manufacturer, but most manufacturers do offer options that are produced by them as well. That said, it was just a joke and this is just a rendering someone made. Ram pickups are notorious for transmission issues, especially older 2nd gen models, hence the joke.

Oh God please don't give the supertrucker rednecks headlights that high. I'm blinded enough by fucking Surrey Specials running Cascadia high beams as low beams by aiming them down a bit without realizing the reflector is set up differently. Semi headlights are low for a reason, they've got significantly more lumens than non-CMV headlights and low-set headlights illuminate the road surface significantly better (which is why fog/ditch lights are wonderful)

The reason modern trucks look fucking stupid is because of pedestrian and headlight laws. For some god-awful reason they have to abide by the same laws as cars and pickups. Bringing the headlights up to the level in the AI pic would be safer for the driver.

Honestly of the big 3 ram has been by far the most reliable I'm my experience. GM is basically a rolling electrical gremlin and Ford is either a garbage interior or priced higher than a Audi or BMW for a decent one. Ram 2500 gasser has seen wild miles with some contractors I know with multiple over 400k miles. I just wouldn't buy any of the new diesels with how much of a headache the emmisions is. I've had more breakdowns in 2 years with my new truck than the old volvo we had for over 10 years and 1m miles and almost all of them have been emissions related.
