Americans, what is your favourite city that you have visited within or outside of the US, and the worst?

Genuinely curious, I'm from the UK and never been abroad yet but want to visit the USA some day, on another note I've seen plenty of Americans all over the country here, mostly in bigger cities like London and Manchester.

Best city--Amsterdam, followed by Paris. Worst city--Chimbote, Peru, which was unfortunately my work headquarters for way too long.

Best: Dublin, London, Brugge, Florence. NYC, Charleston. Worst: Brussels (only like half a day worth of stuff to see). Not a popular opinion, but Chicago. Detroit has so much more character, IMO and the pizza is just as good. Honorable mention for best: Detroit (see above), Moscow, Minneapolis (I lived there so I didn't think it was fair to make it a best), Moscow (now might not be the best time, though). Overrated: Venice. Sure the carnals are neat, but it's the same 5 stores over and over again and it's hard to find your way around.

The ironic thing is there's a Newark here that's pretty awful too... So I guess the US one kind of takes after it's ancestor. Love Mexico City from the outside view, would also add to the list

Man, I’ve been so many places, and I’ve really liked most of them. In the US and outside of it. I can’t really pick a favorite. If I had to tho, I’d say Rome and Duck, NC for in the US. Lol I guess I’ll say the biggest let down was Paris. It’s like, you hear about it and it gets so talked up, but it was kind of miserable and dirty. Still enjoyed my time there, and still glad I went tho.

Favorite city for me? Amsterdam. The fact that we visited it during tulip season is just gravy. I don't really have a worst city. I'm guess I'm fortunate that way. Unless you count Barcelona, mainly because I was suffering from food poisoning. But that's not Barcelona's fault.
