Buying a car sight unseen from private seller

I’m considering purchasing a vehicle located 300 miles from me (Washington State). Unfortunately due to current circumstances, I don’t have the time to travel to inspect, purchase, and drive the vehicle home. For anyone who has been in a similar situation? What process did you use to buy the vehicle?
I’m thinking:
1. Hire a local mechanic to inspect the vehicle. I’m mainly wanting to make sure there isn’t any major wrong (e.g. blown head gasket, rod knock, etc.).
2. Hire a shipping company to ship the car.
Questions:
1. How do you ensure the title gets signed over without being present?
2. How do you transfer payment ensuring you get the car and they don’t just ghost you?
Thanks in advance.
