Recently, the City of Dallas put a monument in Martyrs Park. I haven't seen an announcement yet that it has been done but it is there now. Here is an article about it. These two DMN posts link to articles that have more info about what the memorial is dedicated to: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/9j3qdm/from_a_lynching_to_a_pistol_whipping_this_map/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/qva1mo/huge_step_for_dallas_allen_brooks_1910_lynching/

Awesome! I took a tour with Remembering Black Dallas last summer when this was still in talks with the parks department. Will have to go see it in person!

Is it a sundial?

I can't say for 100% certainty but it looked like one to me. The text on the wall had a heading that said "Shadow Lines," so I took that to be confirmation that it was a sundial.
