This song / album was the foundation of my love of music. I think the live versions of Terrible Lie are killer. The ending Trent just going off “YOU FUCKING LIED!!!”
Same. Nothing has scratched my soul quite like this song. Still my favorite since I first heard it 25 years ago. And the combo with Now I’m Nothing as an intro makes it that much better.
I remember seeing the wish video and head like a hole and falling in love. Collected as much as I could after that broken/fixed, sin single, head like a hole all the regular albums. I think I still have a nin picture book around here somewhere from the 90’s. They were my favorite in my teen/late childhood years.
This album lived in my CD rom, and I'd listen to it every time I played Quake, so to this day it remains the Quake soundtrack to me. The actual Quake soundtrack was by Trent Reznor as well, so it's not far off.
I remember hearing this album for the first time on a cassette that was a copy of a copy.
It completely blew me away and still remains part of my top 10 albums today.
My almost 3 year old started singing along with this in the car a few months ago. She loves shouting terrible lie. She also started singing along with California Love too on that road trip. So she likes Nine Inch Nails, Tupac and Cocomelon.
