Has anyone been sued by Navient for private loans?

I owe a ridiculous amount of private loans for a bachelor’s degree mostly because of the insane interest, which probably makes up a third of my balance. After about ten years of making payments/periods of forbearance, I decided to purposefully default (I will spare you all my reasoning as you probably can assume if you’re here).
My last payment was made in November 2020, and I received the notice of default just a month or so ago.
What do you think the odds of being sued at some point are? Part of me feels like it’s more likely to be sued than not to be? Especially since I owe probably as much as a law student.
Anyone experienced a Navient lawsuit? Any advice is MUCH appreciated!!!

I'm sorry to say I am in the exact position and Im currently being sued for my student loans held by Navient. I stopped paying in 2019. It was a charge off on my credit so I thought I was in the clear...sadly that wasn't the case. They are taking me to court for $8665. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Way too early to be sued, but I’ve been making my private student payments. Fed loans can f the right ofc with their ridiculous payment schedule and interest rates.

What makes you say it’s too early to be sued? Yea my payments immediately upon graduating in 2010 were over $1,000/month. As a 23 year old it’s total shock and confusion! I don’t think I had even landed a “big girl job” at that point.

No company sues right away. They need to give you time. They usually take a few years if they even decide to. And I know, it’s absolutely disgusting how the government is trying to make profit on its young generation’s education but can easily bail out big banks…

Capital one does. I think my credit card with them was charged off for 6 months when they sued me. Got on a payment plan

No. I stopped making payments around 2017. It was around 70,000z They’ve offered settlements. But I’m waiting for it to drop off. It’s listed as a charge off on my credit report.
Hopefully I’ll be one of the people in the sallie Mae forgiveness.

Have you looked into the statute of debt limitations for your state if they are private loans?
