When you get sick, your taxes pay for healthcare. When your kids go to school, your taxes pay for their education. Pay your bloody taxes.

But I'll be here only for 2 Years. And I've no kids. The healthcare situation here is we know! For the emergency itself we have to wait for 6hrs.

I don't have kids either, nor so I ever go to hospital. I still pay my fucking taxes.

Why do I feel like you actually believe that?

OP probably should have moved to America, not the UK. They clearly seem opposed to the idea of tax-funded healthcare.

He’s just moved to a country and doesn’t want to pay taxes. In another thread he’s said his wife doesn’t want to have sex with him. He’s antagonising people who are telling him to suck it up and get on with it, and his taxes are not so bad. If he carries on the way he’s going, someone will end up tracking who he is as grassing him up to both Inland revenue and the home office.

More pension and anything else you have to have that you can put on salary sacrifice.

I'd just increase your pension payments. By far the best thing to do if you don't need the cash on a month to month basis. I.e. you have sufficient savings and investments so don't need access to more cash.

Ah, okay! Thanks for the insights

Increase your pension contributions and your taxable income will be lower so you pay less tax.

> i'm paying nearly £800 every month Firstly, your pension is technically saving. Secondly: is that all? I'm on less than that, and pay more.

The mse calculator for £60k p.a. salary has £4,719 for N.I. alone. Tax is £11,432. Pension contributions will affect it, but I think O.P. has made a mistake somewhere.

I’m on half your wages and paying comparatively more in tax and I don’t even have a pension to fall back on when I’m old.. stop moaning and pay it. you earn more than I could ever imagine.

Here’s a good one - normal eating chocolate is subject to VAT, but cooking chocolate isn’t. Even if it’s exactly the same chocolate. Now can save yourself upwards of 20p every time you buy chocolate.

Just pay your tax.

You can buy certain items via salary sacrifice or receive tax breaks on pension contributions but no not really. Pay your tax.
View on Reddit #10892820

AdministrationHour93@reddit (OP)

But still I'm "buying" right if I'm doing salary sacrifice? Could you explain on breaking if tax in pension?
View on Reddit #10892922

Grenache@reddit

Yes and there are are very few things you can actually buy with it. Most likely the only thing you can is a bicycle or maybe a car but not many employers offer the car. Most offer a bicycle. Pension contributions are taken out of your salary pre tax so you will pay less tax. Money received from pensions is taxable however so you will still get taxed on the back end but overall you'll almost certainly pay less tax (Unless you end up with a large pension, get an annuity and live for a long long time).

Also /u/administrationhour93 you only moved here on a Visa 4 months ago and were seemingly very happy about that. Welcome to the UK. Pay your fucking tax.

But he doesn't want to. He wants to pay less tax!
View on Reddit #10893780

Fellowes321@reddit

Why is pension in with income tax and NI? That’s still your money and is actually more because there’s either tax returned or not paid on it at all if it’s on PAYE.

I don't think our friend here is the most financially literate person on earth but that's ok.

AdministrationHour93@reddit (OP)

So I've to make it like £10k more? So that my CTC would come to £50k and upto 50 it's 20% tax?
View on Reddit #10893007

Grenache@reddit

Your CTC is completely irrelevant in this scenario. Also, CTC it a combined total of all costs. Increasing your pension contributions will have little effect on CTC. In fact if you're not currently at the highest matched contribution increasing your pension contributions will increase the CTC.
View on Reddit #10893584

SomeHSomeE@reddit

/r/UKPersonalFinance Increasing pension contributions is about the only way, really.
