PSA: For anyone who is thinking about working for Landhawk.

So it's come to my attention through a couple of friends who are either looking for a new company, or knows someone who is, that the company Landhawk Transportation is actively advertising. Don't apply to Landhawk. (or Tkraft. He has a 3rd company he just started but I can't remember the name) Now while I worked for them I didn't really have to many problems, I actually enjoyed my time there. They kept me moving, and I got paid well. I got along well with my dispatcher, and over all had a mostly good time at that company. With that said, there are multiple reasons why I advise against working there. 1. Pay checks come late enough times that every week you'll wonder if you'll be paid on top. If you're not, the owner will try and feed you some BS about "The bank says it can sometimes take up to 3 days for the money to transfer 2. They have issues paying for repairs. I had a catastrophic engine failure, and the shop got the repairs done in a week. Took nearly another week for the owner to find the funds to pay the shop. Had to spend a day and a half waiting for them to pay for replacing a tire once, and other instances. Being sent the card numbers for 1 card that didn't work, then another card that didn't work, then an EFS card that didn't work, till eventually the owner cashapp'ing me the money to pay for it. Multiple signs that the company isn't doing well financially. 3. They are 1099, and you will have to sign a lease agreement that you won't actually be paying for. In short, you'll be misclassified. 4. Biggest reason of all though. Out of everyone I know, and all the people I've met, and from what I've been told. There hasn't been a single person who has ever worked for him that he doesn't owe money too. 5. He won't fire you, unless you do something that puts him in a position where he has no other choice but to fire you. Like failing a drug test, or having an accident so bad that insurance won't touch you. If he wants you gone, he'll fuck with your ability to make money. Either by giving you the shittiest of loads, or making you sit for days on end. He'll push you until financially you can't continue to work for him. I'm not just spouting all this off as some disgruntled driver that got let go. I didn't get let go, I found a better company to work for and left under my own terms. Although I am disgruntled/upset/angry with them, it's simply because he currently owes me a lot of money and he has no intention of paying me what is owed. As for legal paths to get what I'm owed, that is something I'm currently unable to talk about.
