Recently bought a Security 380 and I think it may have a design flaw

New Security 380, haven't taken it to the range yet. Not 100% sure if I should at this point. With no magazine, the slide moves normally, but with an empty mag inserted (either of the 10- or 15-round mags it ships with), the slide "sticks". If I keep pulling, it eventually moves back. With a non-empty mag, it "sticks" on ejecting the final round. As far as I can tell, the cause of the problem is that the follower can pivot and the front can ride up a little into to the chamber. I suspect the slide is getting stuck against it. (This might explain why some other owners report weird scratches on the follower.) For what it's worth, it looks like the mags are not "native" 380, but 9mm with a spacer added at the back. I don't know if that's relevant to the issue I describe, however. I have two questions: - Is this a known problem with this gun? (I couldn't find anyone else talking about it via google.) - Is it safe to shoot it? My assumption is that the worst that happen - i.e. if the slide won't cycle at all - is excessive recoil and a failure to eject. Or is this something that I should just report immediately to Ruger?
