Hi, 96385. Thanks for contributing. However, your [submission](https://www.reddit.com/r/collapse/comments/16tpvc2/-/) was removed from /r/collapse for:
> Rule 3: Posts must be on-topic, focusing on collapse.
> Posts must be focused on collapse. If the subject matter of your post has less focus on collapse than it does on issues such as prepping, politics, or economics, then it probably belongs in another subreddit.
> Posts must be specifically about collapse, not the resulting damage. By way of analogy, we want to talk about why there are so many car accidents, not look at photos of car wrecks.
Please refer to our [subreddit rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/collapse/about/rules/) for more information.

That’s true but they have all gotten worse. A society’s entire media apparatus revolving around, clicks, views and ultimately profits is a recipe for catastrophe.
One way or another, i don't think we will be here to worry about that.
It sure as hell ain't my problem... unless we achieve immortality. THEN it's my problem.
Writing doomer titles about wiping out humans has become so mainstream, it's applied to any random thing now. We've reached the stage where mainstream media is just using collapse as click-bait.
I think they do it partly because it teases the notion we’d still be about by then, reducing any existential fear right now coz “plenty of time” and such nonsensical rhetoric.
Even if we completely irradiate this planet there's enough organisms that would survive to climb from the ocean again... I ain't worried about Mother Earth
Imagine 250 million years of evolution with all the technology we have already and then some.
That really goes above my level of imagination, heck even 20 years is already difficult

To be fair, the last third of the article is actually about current climate change.
