Time to renew. Currently an instrument student about to checkride in a month and then start commercial. Should I stay on basic or is pro plus something that would benefit me in my current situation? Thanks

I'm an IR student as well. Just upgraded to Pro Plus and am loving the geo-referenced plates, especially in planes with older avionics. That said, I've heard some DPEs don't love using that, so just a heads up.

If you decide to go with a higher tier sign up for NAFI or SAFE for 45 a month and save 33% so save 120$ for the top and 80 for the middle one.

I like the georectified plates in the pro plus as well as profile view that shows terrain on a specified route. I think it’s worth it to upgrade if you will be flying a lot.

For me, geo-referenced taxi diagrams and approach plates are worth the extra money; you should take a look at [the pricing](https://foreflight.com/pricing/) and decide for yourself. (But I wouldn't change anything just before a checkride.)
