This is absolutely sick. Just an idea though, why not add a SuperSafety trigger system and be off to the races. Easier and more familiar operation and still not a machine gun.
akdaddy545@reddit
Swear to you I'm drawing a tube fed 22 gatling gun. Basically 6 marlin model 60s so I didn't have to figure out belt feed. You have by far exceeded anything I could have imagined drawing up and I can't wait to see this in action and possibly released. You are the fuckin man.
urugu2003@reddit
well that tube fed 22 gatling gun sounds pretty awesome as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
akdaddy545@reddit
I'll keep working on it then.
Illustrious_car777@reddit
Howd it turn out???
akdaddy545@reddit
I haven't drawn anything in a while. Life got real busy.
NoEconomics8183@reddit
anything yet?
urugu2003@reddit
Niicceee 😎 The second that comes out, i will build it asap especially if it can be done DIY as in hardware parts. Since i don't have access to main parts like bolts or barrels with chambers only barrel liners/straight tubular rifled barrels and all the small parts like ejectors, firing pins, fire control groups, magazines, etc.
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Hell yeah man that sounds awesome. And more gatling designs that don't cost many thousands of dollars can only be good thing
LowEstablishment6837@reddit
Attach a motor to that hand crank...hmmm sounds fun
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Would be hard to say how well the internals would theoretically hold up to a super high rate of fire. In terms of friction and heat buildup.
Raccoon-Solid@reddit
Hope you see this but if you can redesign it to accept an AR-15 lower in the internals, it could utilize the super safety which would run the trigger at a high rate of fire. Essentially creating a belt that AR-15 minigun with an electric motor and comparable rate of fire to a automatic weapon. It would be pretty amazing if anyone had the talents and balls to try to redesign it.
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
This is a project I had wanted to do for a while, but had to put on the backburner for quite a while because of working on the RBC-9, but once the open beta files for that project were uplaoded I started on this.
Essentially it is a 5.56 cal. Hand-Cranked Belt-Fed Gatling Gun design, but utilizing AR-15 barrels and bolts.
Video of the mechanism without the barrels / bolts installed :: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9TKuIFpxUM&ab_channel=Nopel
Ultimately it won't run as smooth as shown in this video, due to the need to cock the strikers, but it shows how well the delinker can feed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZnzvZ6RTC4&ab_channel=Nopel
I'd say this prototype version of this project is about 90% - 95% finished, only primary things left to do are iron out some issues with the strikers, and work out some sort of mount. Currently I only have one Bolt, for test firing purposes, before buying the other 5. As you may imagine, buying 6 of everything makes this build get pricey (though still nowhere near the price of buying a tippmann or otherwise lol).
Getting the strikers right is proving a bit harder than I had imagined, as if they are too hard to cock, then the gun feels bad to turn by hand. So the weight of the strikers, spring weights, and travel distance, need to be optimized better, to allow for a smoother feeling function.
Heat buildup will no doubt be an issue in this design. Currently everything has been done in PLA+ for ease of printing, but the components directly holding the barrels will need to be made in some other fashion, likely involving a sandwich of Send-Cut-Send plates, and PA6, but this shouldn't be too hard to implement.
As a quick note -- I would imagine at least a few people will have questions of the legality surrounding this sort of design :: While the numerous ATF definitions and technical letters can be confusing, the ATF letter regarding Tippmann Ordinance's .22 LR Belt Fed Gatling design, is the most similar, and would also pertain to this build as well :: https://tippmannordnance.com/22lr-atf-document/
Its honestly a pretty easy build, not too many parts, but they are all large. Hardest pieces to make are the striker components.
Drewrox2009@reddit
Nopel you sexy man. Is this getting released already?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Not yet, still haven't quite ironed everything out. But hopefully by the end of the year, in some sort of open test version like the rbc-9. I suspect the tolerances needing to be very precise, in regards to the bearings, will lead to some people have more difficulty than others, depending on what type of printer is being used. Figuring that out will likely be the main point of the test version
neil137@reddit
Is it open test now that it’s 2024?
does it yet fire and crank without having to cock the strikers?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Not quite yet, testing been slower than expected, in part due to how it's a bit difficult to lug this around to the range lol, but it's getting there. And the crank does the job of cocking the strikers while the bolts move forward to feed the rounds in, but it is firing quite well, just a bit picky on ammo at the moment
DesertClimber@reddit
If you need another tester, hit me up. I've got the cash to built one out fully and help with any tweaks.
Awesome project!
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Thanks man, glad to hear it. The test version will be public on my Odysee for anyone to grab, hopefully not too far off from now
tuvar_hiede@reddit
Can we get a link?
DesertClimber@reddit
My Google-Fu did not show a channel for NopeNotRightNow on the see yet. Is it under a different name?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
It'll be under @Nopel
DesertClimber@reddit
Sweet! I'll keep an eye out.
neil137@reddit
I am a mechanical engineer and electrical engineer if you need some design help. Would need the file to look over however
Drewrox2009@reddit
I will start slowly collecting parts.
rebe1one@reddit
its says in the instructions very experimental basically . the creator released it in order to get design suggestions from the public it list very particular reoccurring issues especially in feeding reliably
GunnitRust@reddit
Teaser or does it fire in this form?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
I'd say it could* fire, as I've tested using empty primed cases, and it will pop the primers. But haven't yet gotten out to try with live ammo, though I'm nearly certain it will work fine
GunnitRust@reddit
Teaser it is.
Rough_Complaint_5718@reddit
have you thought about re baselining to the M134 scale and trying 308? then copying the M134 bolt design?
BlackPlantZaddyy@reddit
Bump

I can't link directly but look under @Nopel
NorDefence@reddit
Can cad files be bought to make one myself?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
No need, they are up on my odysee page
BlackhatEspeed@reddit
It is a beautiful peace
Tier1Norseman@reddit
This will be our future homemade builds after everything keeps getting cried about. 😂🤣 A 7.62x39/54 version would be really cool.
Ok_Expression_1226@reddit
I'm so pumped for this!
Ok_Expression_1226@reddit
It's the 24th as of 4 minutes ago! Lol where's it at?!?!
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Lel, just finishing up some of the build document, gonna upload before I go to bed in a few hours.

No-Surprise6281@reddit
where can I download to try it out?
RhidiumRh@reddit
Not released yet.. few more days.
TeetheCat@reddit
Saving my pennies.
Lostanarmed@reddit
You know I'm not that old but it's things like this that makes me change the way I think of the younger generations an say THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR HUMANITY AFTER ALL!! keep up the amazing work God bless!! Information is power an THEY CANT STOP THE SIGNAL!! thank you for all the time an energy it took to do this!!
cburgess7@reddit
i will be following this with great interest
Responsible_gnowner@reddit
Any stls out there in the sea for this ?👀👀
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Not currently, still have some tolerances between parts to sort out
Powerful_Fee_4221@reddit
I've got a group of friends stoked to put this together and give it a try! Can't wait to see the parts go online. Keep up the great work, and keep us posted!!
Gr8GatzB@reddit
Any update on this? I'm not sure where to follow the progress
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Most in depth updates are on weaponsguild, but overall there's not too much new. It seems the bolt carriers need some adjustments, and the port to access them and remove the bolts needs to probably be in a different location as it's currently somewhay hard to install and remove all 6 bolts without locking up the mechanism
Mysterious-Flan-1973@reddit
If i had enough parts and printers what would be the scoop on maybe trying this out and helping develop ?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Yeah the public test version should hopefully only be a couple months out. It'll be up on my Odysee at that point
Awkward-Marsupial-99@reddit
What’s your Odysee name?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
@Nopel
WVGunsNGoats@reddit
How many rolls of Filament am I gonna need?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Can't say for sure just yet, but probably 3 to 4
fun-time66@reddit
This is awesome. Do you need testers? I also have an testrig and granular bullettrap.
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Thanks man. The test version will ultimately be public for anyone to download and try out / not a closed beta type of thing
Phomex0702@reddit
Ohhhh, you beat me to it. I was also designing something similar but now that I see this I see not point in continuing mine. Can't wait to give this one a try!!! Maybe a 308 version in the future?
Phomex0702@reddit
By the way, is it cheaper to make the BCG or to buy an AR BCG? Because my solution for the Gatling BCG was a little different
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
I suppose it may be a bit cheaper to make the BCG, probably by like 30-40$ (x6) that isn't needed for the carriers, but the bolt has to be modified in this design, making it all unusable outside of this gun
Phomex0702@reddit
Ahh, got u. Btw any plans for a belt-fed 22lr?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Naw though there was a guy on weaponsguild working on a belt fed .22, he had a sortof demonstration rig set up of the feeding mechanism but I'm not sure if he's gotten any farther on than that
Sharkboy01@reddit
I must have missed that project, you know of any updates on that one?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Not that I'm aware of,
Sharkboy01@reddit
Man I hope so too! But I suppose I will have to be content with your genius for the time being lol
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Also I think I messed up replying this message the other day, it seems like it posted it to the thread and not as a reply to you::::
Aye man I had seen your posts about the one you're designing. Please don't stop your peoject on account the one I'm doin lol, yours looks super awesome as well, seems like the way you're doing the internals was more along the lines of a proper gatling with the way you've done your strikers, and overall likely quite a bit different from this one. I started this project cause gatling designs are out of reach for most people in terms of price, so the more home build designs out there that are affordable, the better lol.
As for a 308 version, maybe(?) at some point. It would be quite a bit more expensive of a build than this, with all components being ar10 based. I've got some ideas for what I'd like to do as a next project but they aren't related to this one
Evenursister02@reddit
Sir sir stop I’m in public I can’t take it 😂😂 man your a fucking legend
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)

NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
Oh thenks bb
AR-Shooter@reddit
Very Cool!
CompetitiveDepth8003@reddit
It's like seeing the sunrise for the first time....it's your magnum opus. I must build it!
jakeryii@reddit
What's the for RoF with a "normal/steady" cranking?
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
The way its geared currently, one full turn of the crank would give ~5 rounds fired. I'm sortof guessing at this- but given how stiff the strikers will be, I would think steady pace would be roughly one full crank every second. Faster than that would probably be a bit awkward, though I could be mistaken. So probably ~5 rounds per second, which is on par with other gatling types
M_R_KLYE@reddit
Holy hell that is sweet. Please set it to sail when it's ready!

Same, I feel I don't know enough to comment on WG, but I like to lurk
urugu2003@reddit
whoah holy fucking shit, if i'd live in the states i'd build this instantly, this must be the coolest builds of all time right there with the first 100% DIY guns for Europeans like FGC-9.
Bigbore_729@reddit
Oh fuck yes!
lifepac@reddit
Do you know if there a specific reason that barrel length is not a concern on those tippmans you linked? Barrel is 8.5in and LOA seems to be 20in. I thought 16/26 was rule. I see the tripods are fixed so maybe that takes care of LOA but it wouldn't help the 8.5 barrel. LOVE YOUR VERSION!!
NopeNotRightNow@reddit (OP)
I believe as you mention the fixed tripod is key to it not being an nfa item, in the base of that one because of how small it is.
TheRedCelt@reddit
Has to have a stock to be considered a short barrel rifle.
ChevTecGroup@reddit
It's not a rifle
shuttercat@reddit
I would presume that it's because it isn't fired from the shoulder
4LordBoop@reddit
Not all heroes wear capes. 🥹
