You have to reprogram the ECM. That's the only way to guarantee it. Other tricks that may work depending on make, model, and programming: * When the idle shut down shows on the dash, bump the accelerator. Do that 3 times. * When parked turn the cruise control on using the dash switches only, not any auxiliary switches on the shifter or steering wheel. Turn the idle up using the "RES+" button, * Put something on the clutch (heavy boot, jam a stick, etc) just to the point where the microswitch is engaged but the clutch itself isn't. Like how you can tap the clutch to turn off the cruise control but don't engage the clutch. * Put a HotHands pack or similar, or a cold pack in cooler temps, on your ambient temp sensor. Many trucks are programmed to allow idling when its above or below a certain temperature.
