Curious what others do. Ignore it and beat it into the mixture? Or do you painstakingly remove each piece ?

No, commecial eggs are unfertilised and still get them. Eggs from farms and smallholdings are more likely to have cocks in with the hens.

I'm vegetarian so pretty borderline with eggs being edible for me so I do fish them out if at all possible. I have noticed they lose colour when the eggs are cooked though, you wouldn't notice them in scrambled egg or a quiche for example.
