This is oversimplified but the crux of the matter

The reality is we reduce our quality of life all of the time by living in the current system and infrastructure. Sitting in traffic to go to bullshit jobs to pay to live a shitty, busy, overtaxed existence is not the quality of life we should ever defend. The question is if the psychopaths at the top would ever dream of allowing the world to be structured differently, and we know they won't. They'll just come up with new ways to make us do completely symbolic shit like recycling or driving electric cars, which gets us no where, but it keeps them rich and happy with their private jets.
