What should my career change be?

I’m a 40 year old man with minimal qualifications. I used to be a chef and work with kids in care but both have a shelf life and I have reached them. I’m fully checked with enhanced DBS. I’ve always liked IT but worry it will be tedious.

"liked IT" and can program, network diagnose or whatnot are different things, they tend to want degrees for that shit, I "like IT" but only ever landed 1 job via a temp agency of all places that gave me a chance to do what i loved, networking shop computer tills for supermarkets, i walked in that place on like my second day and they had a terminal they couldnt figure out, without knowing code I asked why this one was hashed out when it doesnt look like it should be and bam... Worked there for like 2 weeks and they loved me but they never took me on. I fucking loved it too you built the terminals in house got them all communicating then went and plugged them in on site. I did it for minimum fucking wage too like £6 an hour.. but my background is modding xboxes and fixing peoples pc's not exactly highly skilled, but i notice patterns and pick things up well easily if its a hands on demo, show me it in a book and i glaze over
