When will Channel 4 finally cancel Hollyoaks?

There nothing worse than turning the TV on at 6 for a background episode of The Simpsons whilst you cook dinner. The only thing that comes close is forgetting to turn it off before 6.30. Hollyoaks isn't good. It was never good. Even 20 years ago it was bad. Not even funny in an ironic way. Surely they have to wake up to this eventually? The current adverts they are running to try and make it seem relevant to the youth are so far off the mark it's just tragic.

Hollyoaks itself is trash, but its also a pretty fertile proving ground for new, younger actors. Like how Doctors is a proving ground for later-bloomers. Quite a few have gone on to much bigger things.

A little while ago I made a bit of a joke / thing about Hollyoaks being the downfall of society. I've always absolutely fucking hated that show. I hate the theme tune, the vibe, the actors, the writing. Everything. It's made by cunts, for cunts. Anyway. I forget the details of my Grand Theory now - and I cant be bothered to go over it again - but even though i was being a clown, it struck me as actually making quite a lot of sense. Something about precursor to Instagram influencers, prioritising glamour over substance, and societal brain drain. I fucking hate that show.

Just put a Simpsons episode on YouTube. Easy. You must have a smartphone or a tablet or laptop. Like you say, it's only on in the background while you're cooking anyway! Plus, it's only on earlier because of the football that will be on at the same time tomorrow, so are you gonna come on and post that the football should be dropped from tv too???? It's really nothing to get irked about, hundreds of other channels to watch!!!

They won't cancel it while it still makes them money. Why would they? But it is moving to exclusively to E4 soon. No one is forcing you to watch it. Just change the channel if you don't like it rather than coming to online to moan about a show you don't watch.
