Thanks for the mention of Action1 u/Ape_Escape_Economy, I really appreciate it! Action1 should work for asset management, depending on how deeply you want to go. We currently don't do network device scanning, but our agent-based scanner collects all software and hardware information and customizable reporting allows seeing almost everything in real-time.

We are mandated to document subscriptions under [GASBS 96 (SBITA)](https://www.gasb.org/document/blob?fileName=GASBS%2096.pdf) I take it one step further and record all services, software and other contracts aside from the accounting system that has dedicated categories for this stuff. I’m in a team of two supporting 1k end users.

I love Snow and for SAM/cloud tracking definitely one of the best on the market, but also quite expensive for us. Currently considering ALVAO, it has the necessary features for SAM and HAM, also integration to sccm, AD and inTune I found useful, and is affordable. :)

If you are looking for software asset management consider also the vulnerability scanner feature. Nowadays is extremely important to know if your softwares are vulnerable
