What are the ideal clothes to wear with this heat and humidity?

Our heat isn't the same as the European heat. Covering up in the sun doesn't seem to work when we have the humidity to contend with. Naturally our country is a swamp. You burn with short sleeves and sweat with long sleeves. I was thinking a very thin poncho, what have you all been wearing to cope?

Hemp clothing. I have some thin hemp socks which keep my feet remarbkly cool, even in the recent warm weather they haven't left my feet sweaty like what I typically have when wearing cotton socks. Hemp boxers too. Very comfortable and wicks away moisture.

I wear silk. 100% silk all the time. Pants, socks, trousers, shirts, jumpers and my favourite is my silk jacket. It's never too hot to wear my silk

I can not think of anything more uncomfortable than silk pants and socks. Also, a serious question. I remember my mum briefly buying me silk bedding when I was a teen, I wore silk pyjamas one night and I slid about in that bed no end. When you pull your silk trousers over your silk pants.. do they not slide back down?

natural, breathable and loose fabrics. The plasticy clothes you buy on high street just don't cut it. What's the point of selling summer dresses when they feel like they made out of plastic and only make you sweaty.

Wore today a cotton jumper and jeans. Then took dogs out but swapped the jeans for a pair of tracksuit bottoms, and kept them in the shaded areas. I haven't felt the heat today except when working out. I've just finished now at close to 8pm and i'm sweating buckets.

I've been wearing combat trousers, workboots, a thin T-shirt, and a polo shirt over the top. Such is workwear. 'Coping' involves lots of cold water, a big air conditioning unit sat on a desk, and hiding from the sun. At home, indoors, I've been wearing as little as possible. Currently lazing around in a pair of pyjama bottoms.

I'm currently wearing loose, billowy cotton top and shorts. Still can't escape the humidity. If you're at home stick some wet cloth in the freezer for a bit then tie it round your head Rambo style.

I wear loose cotton clothing and if it gets really unbearable I wear cold damp clothing. Sometimes put it in the salad drawer in the fridge! I do have to be aware as the very young and elderly people are more likely to suffer adverse effects from the heat. I'm in the latter group, obviously!
