Hangar padlocks

Anyone got one they like? I think I prefer combination, but keyed is fine. Lives outdoors and generally unprotected from the elements, though in SoCal the elements are generally not that harsh. I've had two Master padlocks crap out.

My hangar at CJR had a master padlock (absolute crap) that the airport provided. Master makes some of the worst locks on the market. As u/Guysmiley777 says, the LPL will open you eyes on how crappy they are. Most Masterlocks can be either raked or comb picked faster than you can operate them with the key.

Not to mention the combination locks which can be shimmed open with a bent piece of soda can.

How are they crapping out? Are you at an airport right on the coast (Camarillo, SMO, TOA, etc)?

TOA and LPC. They stop locking. I oil them regularly, and there's no visible corrosion, but something internal is seizing and they won't click closed anymore.

After watching the Lockpicking Lawyer's channel for a while: padlocks are mostly for decoration.

Fair. But while I'm keeping honest people honest, I'd love it if it would actually close and lock.
