What period of time for you in the UK do you remember as a golden era?

I look at the oldschoolUK sub and think, yeah, that looks rustic, but brokie as hell too. Everything does seem to look better now. As far as golden era, mine would be the Blair years in terms of affluence and global influence. As a kid, it felt like the UK was in a league of its own. So I’m not sure why we talk bad about the Blair period. This new wave of looking backwards into Britain’s history, all I see is how terribly unequal and poverty ridden the UK was
