Yall how do I even buy 8 32gb sticks of DDR5 RAM anymore???

So im building a PC/NAS using the Rosewill THOR Nas server case, a Pro WS WRX90E-Safe SE, and AMD Rysen Threadripper PRO 9955wx, cause I can finally afford those but I cannot for the life of me find 8 32gb sticks of DDR5 RAM For a reasonable (even a reasonably inflated) price.

We never did. DDR5 loses stability with more than 2 sticks, and having more than 64gb is basically pointless outside of ultra high-end professional setups. If you’re even remotely worried about money, you should not be building this machine. You’ve already decided to spend $10k on the CPU, just buy the RAM.

There is no such thing as reasonably priced RAM anymore. When I built my last PC in November 2024 I paid less than $300 for 64GB of RAM. Something like $270 IIRC. Which was expensive at the time compared to what it was before that. Now that same RAM kit goes for $1000. Not to mention a single 32GB stick was never affordable.
