What kind of machine gun is that? It was confiscated in Mexico. It looks like an AN/M2, but I don't know the model.

I think youre right, its some variation of a 1919. Ma Duce is way bigger and different barrel shroud. Probably came from a military armory if it is Mexico or central or South America.

the handle grips/trigger is different on the M1919, the barrel end is also different, obviously it could be that they bubba¨d it but I doubt that, this a machine gun not a M14

The muzzle looks like a m1919A6 flash hider and spade grips were available for the 1919s

I checked if that was true, its true so it might be a M1919, the biggest issue in this thread is that the image is so blurry that it could realistically be a lot of heavy machine guns from the 1940-1980 so unless somebody manage to find more images of the gun (or even better a video) it might be rather futile to argue about the type and make of the gun

Its not that hard to see that it's a 1919 with A6 muzzle cone and a set of spade grips.

The muzzle device reminds me of a .303 browning

I think that is just a standard M2 with a flash hider (flash suppressor), they developed the flash suppressor during ww2 since when the soldiers fired the machine gun at night the gun essentially blinded the guys operating it which was considered a drawback for situational awareness (which to be fair is true)
