Do you go to the cinema alone?

How is going to the cinema with your mates gay? Unless you are all sharing the same seat, in some kind of pileup

It's fine going alone, just like it's fine to go to a restaurant alone. The last experience I had doing it was truly awful but that was more to do with the time of day and the clientele than the fact I was there alone. It was the last showing of the day of Avengers Endgame so it wasn't due to start until about 11pm, my wife was at home with our baby (and wasnt interested anyway). I was the only person in the screen to begin with (epic and awesome accidental private screening!) then a group of lads come in 15 minutes late, presumably nowhere to hang out after last orders at the pub. Start chatting loudly like they have zero interest in the film. I tried to ignore them. Can't manage it, they are basically treating it like an extension of the pub, not chatting about the film just chatting shit constantly. Turn around and ask "are you guys going to talk through the whole fucking film?" Anyway they threatened to beat me up in the car park after the film, and kept chatting for a bit but then shut up although every time they wandered in and out they made some remark "don't talk to me like that" to which my reply was "don't act like a prick then" but then they slunk off at the end and had gone by the time I left the screen. One of the cinema staff did come in to see if everything was ok during the film but they looked about 12 so wouldn't have been much good in a fight (although probably as useful as me) Anyway your mileage may vary, but it turned my first trip out to the cinema in a year to one of my last trips to the cinema ever.
