Aldi. Me and my daughter taste tested all supermarkets own brand chocolate digestives. It’s the best flavoured one. However their milk chocolate digestives are not so good.

I was being shown around local biscuit factory,that morning there was a poll on some breakfast TV on the subject of which digestive was best. The person that was showing us around said he'd had head of biscuit purchasing for M&S, Tesco and others all complaining that thier biscuit hadn't won. He had to tell them and us all made exactly the same on same production line using same recipe. Then put into individual company branded packets.

They really aren't. I'm diabetic and can only have digestives, the brands are all different. M&S Digestives are the best they have a lovely flavour and aren't too sweet or lacking in sugar, Mrs Tilly's are second.

Impacts on the eyesight, for example read "digestive" as "chocolate digestives", it was the first sign of diabetic retinopathy, so I went and got tested for diabetes.

They might be made in the same factory but they’ll be made to difference recipes and specifications. Chocolate digestives vary hugely and most of them are like dog biscuits with a layer of chocolate.

The M&S standard range chocolate biscuits are such a source of disappointment. I assume because they’re on the cheaper range there’s not the level or R&D or care that goes into them but they’re really quite bad. Or maybe it’s a ploy to get me to spend £3 on the round chocolate biscuits instead, in which case fair play because it works.

A few years ago i did a test of all the supermarkets digestives. Lidl were the best by far. A few months late the feckers changed the recipe. They are pretty bad now.
