I kind of like that. It would be a great city bike. Unfortunately, I live on a country road, where everyone drives closer to 100 kph than 45 kph.

Well thank God again cuz there's nothing like that where I live and all they ask for is not to drive on pedestrian walkways and a helmet that's basically it. Can u tell me what kind of licensing and inspection u need there?

So you are not in the US? If you do live here, don't confuse the fact you haven't been caught with there being no legal requirement. That vehicle is not an ebike.

Its classified as a moped. They look at the brakes, lights, speedometer, throttle, etc. to make sure its a road worthy vehicle. They check the V.I.N. to make sure its not stolen.

It has pedals, but I never use them. They're probably just to fool traffic police into thinking it's a bicycle. For me, it's 100% throttle.

Honestly if it tops out around 45 km/h and looks more scooter than bicycle, I’d probably call it an e-scooter / mini e-moto more than an e-bike Either way, if it’s getting you to work reliably and you’re enjoying the ride, that’s a win. Also $400 sounds like a pretty solid deal.

No way that battery is 60 volts and 40 amp hours, even my 60 volt 26 amp hour battery made with 21700 50e cells is in a bigger case.

Shit that's the Amp hour battery I need 40Ah I could do more than three offers on UberEats earning more money the current battery on my escooter is only 7.8Ah which is shit and my 20Ah ebike has a flat tire on the back and the solid tire I want is $40 and I need a wrench to get the tire off to change it.

that speedometer is lying to you. those cheap displays tend to show whatever they feel like if the sensor isn't calibrated right. as for the classification, if it has pedals it's technically an ebike in most places even if you never use them, but that thing looks more like a scooter with token pedals bolted on. either way if you're commuting and it works for you that's what matters.

finally someone got this one I've been riding my Maikaolin H8 (different brand, same type of frame) for almost a year now and it definitely has been a blast! the thing has got me through a really harsh winter and is very cheap to maintain, which I like although the frame type is much, much more popular here in Russia than in the US I suppose.there are 7 of these per 560 people living in my apartment block, for example also I'd really recommend to remove the pedals! those can be faulty at times and lead to wheel jams/difficulties in turns anyway here's mine https://preview.redd.it/w31byvxgk05h1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc7c4103481990f8bb444dda262abd6db6ead704

Took me a second. I did a double take. I thought this was a bike made out of PVC and got very concerned for a second. No idea on its class. Where I live if it goes faster than 20mph electric only or 28mph with peddling than it is a e-moped. I think it has to go faster than 35 and have no peddles to be an e-moto,

Nice! Here we would call it an electric mini bike, and it would not be street legal. I am jealous of places with some laxer road laws, but as they say "regulations are written in blood". (they were written because people died) I used to travel a lot for work and I would always rent a quad to bomb around on in places where it was legal.
