Enjoying a stag if not a heavy drinker?

Going on a stag tomorrow. I normally get socially anxious in new places any way but I'm also not a big drinker. We're going Go Karting, Axe Throwing and then Steak followed by Cocktail and Pub. 8 of us including the father and father in-law. Staying overnight as getting the last train back is a pain. Usually when out in town I do what I want then bow out at midnight ish and let them go off. I'm hoping I can do that and head back at closing time. My friends aren't crazy drinkers but I've never been on a stag before. Has anyone here been on a stag do although they're not a heavy drinker?

If you wanna be involved with the drunken twattery, but don’t want to be one of the participants. Simply drink pints of lower abv beer and be sure to drink a half pint of water alongside. By the time everyone else is munted, you’ll be lightly buzzed but mostly compus mentus. You can have the fun of the stag without being berated for being a killjoy or owt like that. Realistically, if you just be yourself and jolly company up until you’ve had your fill then any reasonable person wouldn’t give you shit for it

The same rules apply. As long as you pace yourself and stay extra hydrated, then you can be on board for the entire night whilst keeping your wits about you. Sounds like a sensible stag, actual activity and a decent dinner venue makes for a good foundation as opposed to just going out on the lash. Wish you luck on having fun and hope the stag has a fruitful marriage

Sounds pretty laid back. If you're sharing a hotel room make sure you have a key. Tell them that's you and ask if anyone wants to walk back to the hotel, if not grab a taxi. If everyone is smashed, just backdoor it. They won't notice.

Sounds like it won't be too bad. Don't let your social anx get in the way. Just take a deep breath and try to enjoy it. I recently gave up drinking (about a year ago). I went to a gig in London recently with 3 heavy drinkers. I was nervous myself but actually it was fine! I drank non-alcoholic beer in the pubs and no one cares.

You can go to bed whenever you want, just expect to be woken up. You have loads of activities, much easier. Don’t take the shots and drink at your own pace.
