While I agree with the premise.... (Engine hours are a better tracking method) Universally, all manufacturers are specifying mileage, and they include all of the tools such as an odometer built into the car, rather than expecting the user to track hours of runtime manually. There's not much the general consumer can do with respect to this, especially since the manufacturers don't even provide a recommendation regarding oil changes and hours of runtime.

What interval are you changing the oil? 7,500km or 15,000km? How many miles are you going to drive over a week? You should be fine, but with long oil change internvals (15,000km+) you need to check the oil level and make sure it's not low. Engines consume oil, especially thinner oils, and the longer the interval the more likely you are to run low on oil. A week won't make a difference, but months would.

Is this your first oil change? If it is you are already like 2 years overdue. It's 15k km or 1 year, whichever comes first. And guessing your 2024 is about 3 years old? https://www.vw.ca/en/owners-and-drivers/service/maintenance-timeline.html

About 1,000 over but remember you already went 10,000 miles on oil change, I’m a VW Master tech and with the 2.0 turbo motor I highly recommend doing it every 5,000 miles, these motors are notorious for launching the timing chain around 110,000 due to lack of maintenance and aftermarket oil filters, no mater what brand vehicle it is I always recommend getting the oil changed at the dealer or a independent shop that specializes in the brand of vehicle and uses OEM filters

This isn't a matter of "technically". Your engine oil cleans and lubricates your engine. By over-extending your engine oil service interval, you shorten the life of your engine. How far can you keep going? Technically you never have to change your engine oil. You will, however, have to replace the engine when it wears out. If you drive past the recommended interval by a few hundred km, it's no big deal. If you start going thousands past the interval, you're shortening the life of your engine by significant amounts.

I’ve changed oil on thousands of vehicles and VW likes to make it hard. Definitely not a 15 minute oil change like a Honda or Toyota

Oil is cheap. Engine replacement is expensive. +/- a few Km probably isn't going to kill you... On the other hand, your Odometer has been prophesizing this day for 14,999km, so... Yanno. How clean is your oil? Is it at the right level on the dipstick? Does it smell burned? Etc.

If you convert to miles, assuming a 10k mile oil change interval, you've got another 1000 km based on that math. Having said that, get your oil changed. 10k intervals are a suggestion, doing it sooner would be better for the vehicle.

It is all magic formulas anyways. It all really depends on how hard you drive the car etc, the climate around you, the geography you drive your car. You should probably just change the oil when you can at the earliest convenience and I don't mean another 10k kms.
