🤣 am i the only one annoyed that we have to do emissions every year before we can register our car. Even the strictest state that requires emissions does it every 2 years. At least make it so that we can register our car then get emissions after.

I mean I think it's dumb because we have too much wind for air to stand still as badly and emissions to build up. Parts of California I understand because they don't have wind like us and it gets real bad there.

The air quality in DFW ranks as some the worst in the nation, whatever wind we get isn’t doing much other than blowing the particulates around in the same space.

Yeah but even if emissions went away in DFW the issue would still happen simply due to the traffic volume. Not to mention that 99% of people wouldn't take off their cats anyways since many car warranty or people who pay for extended require it to be stock from factory. They should do away with emissions on cars and keep it on trucks including diesels

What’s even crazier, my buddy who lives in Aubrey doesn’t have to do it at all.
I’m guessing someone or something spent a lot of money lobbying Collin County

Until just a few years ago a full inspection was required. And since we are annual, then technically the strictest requirement is annual inspections.
