At some point I realized I hadn't actually met anyone new in months

Not that I was isolated, I had friends. But I looked around and realized my entire social circle was just people who already knew each other. Friends of friends, colleagues, always the same bubble, same profiles. You stop being surprised by the people around you.
My best friend and I decided to just try something. We privatised a bar in Paris, invited a mix of expats and locals, no agenda. Mostly wanted to see if anyone would show up alone.
They did. Most of them actually. Some stayed four hours.
It became Melting Plot, we run regular afterworks in Paris now. But posting this mostly to ask: do you feel the same? Like your social life is technically fine but somehow closed?
