Fly above!!

I’m an airplane GEEEEK and if you fliers of all planes see someone sitting outside under ya, fly over a couple of times! I live near a municipal airport and I just love to sit outside and watch planes fly over.

If you want to see some cool planes - go hangout at your local flying club, get an associate membership, and chat to the pilots. When I was 17/18 before I started my PPL, I joined a local club and just hung out - talked planes and made a few pilot friends. If they were feeling generous they would let me hop in the right side and in return I'd buy the burger at the away field - great deal for me! Got to know the instructors and the chief - ended up doing my PPL and my MEL there. Really cool ex-WWII airfield - the school was based in the old briefing hut the Lancaster pilots were based in before they flow. I'm UK based - but pilots are pilots, they are cool everywhere.

The problem is, while you like it, your neighbors (who bought houses next to a preexisting airport) will go after the airport with noise complaints.

Hey man, love the enthusiasm. I'm also a plane geek. Hope you get to see your fill of aircraft!! But there's no way I'm noticing a bystander near the field during a critical phase of flight.

Sitting and waiting for airplanes to fly over is cool, but if you like airplanes, I hope you're going out and getting involved with aviation. There are lots of ways.
