Catching these on my first rewatch as an adult.
Wow Lucy Lawless playing those three characters, and also playing when one of those characters is pretending to be another one, more like Lucy FLAW-less!

Isn’t Meg just the cutest little ray of chaotic gremlin sunshine? I adore her, she makes me so happy. I love how they gave her this whole backstory and life goals so she feels so fleshed-out that I forget she’s literally Lucy standing in a different spot, pulling some silly faces.
Fun fact: I just learned yesterday Meg’s name was originally Robyn when they first wrote the episode

Lucy has acknowledged Meg comes closest to her personally, in terms of her fun side, that Meg is her favorite character to play (with gangbanger Evil Xena a close second). If you see Lucy in bloopers and other BTS shots (especially one from KING CON), her silly expressions and whooping it up as herself are pure "Meg."
That's why I roll my eyes whenever you nominate Meg for actor polls where Lucy is included. It's like nominating Lucy twice, even though you view Meg as a separate "person." I know, it's futile to tell you otherwise. Just sayin'. Maybe a warning for newbies who see your posts and wonder if Meg is "real" and, if not, who plays her. 😂

Oh wow I didn’t know that. Yeah Meg is a much better name to me. Robyn makes me think “robin wright” which makes me think of the princess bride vibe too much.

I almost wondered if that was the inspo now that you mention it, since the other princess names seem to be plays on famous proncesses (Diana and Leia? Maybe?) but then I remembered Meg wasn’t a princess.
I love the Princess Bride, early seasons of Xena remind me so much of that movie. Especially because of a meta element you’ve got coming up in The Xena Scrolls >!where we find out we’re watching Gabrielle’s scrolls as told by Rob Tapert, the way the grandson is listening to S. Morgenstern’s story as told by his Grandpa!<

I absolutely LOVE that they did this, a lot of other shows use the same actor for a different character, twins and whatnot, but it doesn't work as well as it did with Xena. Watching Lucy switch between characters is so much fun, she's so talented I forget that all these characters are all played by her! Meg is just adorable, her first episode is def one of my faves
