Upgrade from R3 3100 and GTX1063

Hi! I'm planning on upgrading my PC. My use-case is gaming in 1080p. What could I get for $900? Obviously AM5 is not my choice, so what could you recommend? I do have 32 GB of DDR4, good PSU and ordinary AM4 motherboard, so I need only CPU and GPU

First update your BIOS to the latest version to make sure it will support newer CPUs, and then upgrade to a 5600 or better (preferably an X3D chip if you can find an affordable one), paired with a 9070. That should get you every modern game playable with decent frames at high details.

Ryzen 5 5500x3d with Rtx 5070

If you're staying on AM4, this is honestly one of the easiest upgrade paths ever. I'd grab a 5700X3D and put the rest of the budget into the strongest GPU you can afford. The jump from an R3 3100 to a 5700X3D is massive for gaming.

Ryzen 7 5800x, 5060 ti 16gb or 9060xt 16gb, and Peerless Assassin 120 SE. should be under 900

5060Ti 16GB is overkill for 1080p only gaming. 5070 for a similar price might be better

you right

CPU: 5500X3D
and you can consider this cheap RTX 3070 from aliexpress:

Could u give us a better description of the "good psu" you have, like brand, wattage, model etc. For $900 u could probably get a 5070 and 5500x3d.

I see. Not bad. Like i said, Ryzen 5 5500x3d + a rtx 5070 is possible for $900.

Great! What about AMD GPUs? Are they worth to try at all?
According_Spare7788@reddit
Rx 9070. The 9070 XT would be pushing your CPU budget a bit tight.
