Looking for a ram stick help :/

Hello, i have this 1x8gb XPG spectrix 2666mhz d41 ddr4 ram, and while its great i would be interesting in adding another one, since i can run dual channel but im unable to find anywhere online selling 1 stick of these specific specifications. Can anyone help suggest something?

Adata XPG doesn't actually make ram. They buy ram chips and put their own cooler on it.
To increase your chance of this working, you'll want to find out what memory chips are on your current stick and try to find a memory kit that has as close specifications to that as possible.
There is never a guarantee these two separate sticks will work together. But by matching them as close as you can, you will increase the likelihood of them working together.
2666 is pretty much stock ddr4 speeds so you really shouldn't have that hard of a time getting it working. Once you go higher in speed, the chances also start becoming less of random sticks working together. so 3200/3600 are less likely to work together than 2x2666 sticks.
If you can find a kit of 2 new ddr4 sticks, that would be the best way to go if you can afford it to prevent the headache of trying to get 2 mismatched sticks working. But if you have an extra one lying around or can find it really cheap with a good return policy, not a bad idea to try it out.

Thank you for your detailed reply! Im informed that 3200/3600 sticks might not work togehter with 2666mhz and that 2 different sticks also might wont work. Thats why im trying here to find if someone maybe has this exact stick maybe laying around just testing my luck if my luck aint good enough than i will just buy 2 new sticks.

I just googled your ram kit, If this is it, the product page is showing as 3200, not 2666.
Where are you seeing 2666? Because if this is your kit, you should be looking for a 3200 c16 stick, not a 2666 stick.

Its says ranging from 2666mhz to 3200mhz mine is 2666mhz, but nowhere to be found to be purchased.

Are you sure you're just not running it at stock ddr4 speeds, and not its rated xmp/docp profile of 3200? Most ddr4 ram runs at a stock of 2666 but has a profile for higher speed. Are you running it at the xmp profile speed?

Yeah you were right i just checked its acutally 3000mhz it was locked on 2666mhz in bios so this makes my search much easier but i still cant find one signular stick only in pairs

If you find another 3200c16 kit, it should have the highest chance of working.
If you can't, it should still work at the fall back speed of 2666. Those are not guarantees, just best way to optimize the chance of success.

You think 3000mhz and 3200mhz will work without any issues?
Ripe-Avocado-12@reddit
I'm pretty sure your kit is 3200c16, so any other 3200c16 should have a higher chance of working. You want to match speed and cas latency as a minimum, then the rest of the sub timings to increase your chances. That's still no guarantee but it's the best way to increase success.
Ideally if you can identify if your ram stick is using something like Micron E-die then find another Micron E-die stick running at 3200c16, then you would know the chance of it working together is as good as it's going to get.
You might find another 3200c16 but instead of using Micron, it uses Samsung chips, then it might still work, but it's just less likely than if it was using the exact same chip.

buy two new sticks

if i can find another one like this it would be cheaper than buying a whole pair, but there might be someone who has one of these sticks maybe if not i might consider buying two :p
