Wouldn't their mom's lose custody of them for causing destruction and breaking the law constantly?

Beavis and Butthead were basically a reflection of how america saw the youth of the day.  "They" created this culture where kids were often unsupervised and basically babysat by the tv, and then they mocked kids for watching too much tv. Specifically, MTV.  Theres an episode where Beavis and Butthead see a documentary on TV about Ben Franklin, then decide to try to recreate the kite experiment and end up in the hospital. When a reporter asks what posessed them to be outside in a lightning storm, Beavis and Butthead say they got the idea from TV.  The reporter then grabs a TV Guide to see what they would have been watching. She scans through the programming schedule, sees the Ben Franklin documentary listed, ignores it, and then sees that music videos were playing on another channel at the same time.  So she goes on tv and blames rock music and music videos for making kids stupid.  Basically what im trying to say is that the show was a blatant parody of society at the time, and they themselves were kind of an exaggerated version of a stereotype of a kind of kid that was already undeserved.  If our kids are stupid and arent being supervised, thats not on them. Its on the society that created them. Beavis and Butthead are a mirror for society.
