Arc is superior design by far compared to the Atrius
BurninTree5@reddit
I’ve got an Arc and a MARC (slightly different but same deal as Atrius). I think the Arc is the more bulletproof option, and what you should install in a rifle you actually want to put heavy mileage on and still depend on.
The only leg up the MARC/Atrius gets in my book is the fact you don’t have to cut the triggers. I’ve put my MARC through some good paces, but not really suppressed yet, we’ll see how it holds up in comparison
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Any of them work with a LaRue MBT2S?
BurninTree5@reddit
Not without significant modification to the MBT-2S
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
More so than the usual cut?
BurninTree5@reddit
Yeah it’s kind of a lot.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
This super safety stuff may be the thing that gets me to buy a Geissele finally. At least my MBT2S is worth more than when I got it lol
BurninTree5@reddit
Man, the LaRue price hike is so dumb. Their whole schtick was being 90% (or more depending who you’re talking to) the trigger a Geissele was for being 1/2 the cost. I’ve never been a huge fan of the MBT-2S but I’ve got a couple because they were affordable. They’re gonna lose a ton of business now that that extra 10% is only like $20 more when G$ triggers go on sale.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
That’s fair but they also used to be the same price as the Geisseles before the price drop and no one batted an eye. I’m not particularly knowledgeable about triggers so I can’t tell any difference between it and the G$ equivalent. I’d like to try one of the fancy G$ triggers like the National Match if I can find them for a good price
RoryJSK@reddit
So you do have to cut triggers? Getting confused.
BurninTree5@reddit
If using Atrius/MARC: Regular mil spec triggers, no. Barring some exceptions listed on their website, no cutting or filing should be needed. Geissele triggers may take some further modifications depending on the model (unless you are using the G lever or maybe MARC. My S3G didn’t take any modification to work perfectly with the MARC). Other two stage triggers need a lot of work, and the LaRue MBT-2S trigger takes the most work to get running with any super safety. It’s generally considered not worth it. I don’t know what all you’d have to do to get it to function with the Atrius.
pissincokecans@reddit
sell them for 30 dollars
FlyingTrimangle@reddit
Anyone have an experience with these? I want semi to be reliable while also being able to have..fun
ItsJustAnotherVoice@reddit
I got 3 and been all over the place with them. Granted the owner is a legit dude and tested them and sent me 3 new ones afterwards out phone call trying to diagnose the “issues”
Currently using the arc gen 1 since im tired of taking part my lower to troubleshoot after finding out that safe isnt safe when pulling the trigger on the bench.
Using poverty pony as my test bench, no issues with binding or shelf issues if your dog asks.
Not a trigger snob so its all mil spec.
USAFWorkAccount@reddit
Atrius or ASD are the go to for 3-pos selectors
Salt-Wish5140@reddit
I have the ASD, but I think the Kabuto is actually the more clone correct option because it utilizes USGI 3 position selectors. Which aesthetically it looks better IMO.
WarlockEngineer@reddit
That's cool, I dislike the screw on selectors
Salt-Wish5140@reddit
Same
1rubyglass@reddit
That good eh?
USAFWorkAccount@reddit
Simple design, works with most aftermarket triggers, and better ergos cause cross-bolt safeties are weird on an AR-15
motonoob1@reddit
A lot of posts showing broken levers out there on atrius ones
adamlcarp@reddit
great vidoe about tuning the atrius it seems with certain triggers than can be binding which would stress the trip lever.
Weekly-Ad5224@reddit
Is this as good or better than the partisan?
Chair_Man_Ma0@reddit
Partisan is more expensive ($280 area) but is drop in so no need to find compatible trigger or modding, doesn't care about receiver pocket. Hope this helps.
Brotherauron@reddit
Should I be concerned that it says it's tested for 6000 rounds? Doesn't that seem a little low
Chair_Man_Ma0@reddit
Kinda and I know nothing about the "USMC M27 IAR" fire course they used as base for the durability aside from what Google says but every FRT is a time will tell kinda scenarios.
isaiahaguilar@reddit
Any deals on the G Lever version?
Grouchy-Designer5804@reddit
Not sure why people buy these when you can get 40$ super safeties
big_guwop_1017soicy@reddit
I’ve trained with a standard safety selector since I was old/strong enough to handle a rifle. Dad got one when the Clinton era ban expired in late 2004 when he got back from deployment. Shot it once a month up until I was 18, and got my own.
I’m not going to unwind 20 something years of muscle memory to save $100.
ReverendReed@reddit
3 position over super selector all day, every day.
TeaKay-421@reddit
Because some people prefer a 3 position safety instead of a push button.
thejoyandthesorrow04@reddit
Combat armory sucks. They take forever to ship and their customer service is non-existent. You withy get anytime to answer an email or a call. My order didn't ship for overa month and a half and once it came in it was missing parts.
Aware_Donkey_6074@reddit
Everytime I ordered through Combat Armory I had a shipping label within 24 hours.
BurninTree5@reddit
I’ve bought two ARC Fire setups from them. Shipped next day, no issues. Can’t comment on customer service
BadQualityBanana@reddit
I see this often, but I've ordered a few things from them and they've shipped the same day and it got to me quickly. Maybe I've gotten lucky each time.
BrudNumber1@reddit
Ordered one a few weeks back and it came in 3 days.
Pure_Interest8367@reddit
I ordered one of these from them yesterday early AM EST and had a shipping confirmation by the afternoon.
ReverendReed@reddit
My Atrius has been rock solid.
RamoTOC@reddit
Atrius > All. Only true drop in compatible solution. They stand by their product and literally back all their people against Raregreed
BurninTree5@reddit
I’d put the MARC just a hair above the Atrius for being a bit more stout and aesthetically pleasing, but I agree that system is absolutely the most user friendly and drop in ready (as long as you have the right triggers).
I still think the ARCv1 is the best super safety/FRT system, but I’m also handy with a dremel and cut my own triggers. If you’re not, or just don’t want to, then the Atrius/MARC system is a fantastic buy.
JustBman@reddit
Any deals on the ambi version?
