I’ve got a soft spot for Silverchair. I never gave Candlebox a try after listening to an MTV VJ gas them up as “Madonna’s favorite grunge band” before what I felt at the time was an underwhelming song. I could be wrong.

I'll agree, Albini was great. He was a producer first, but also a human being and a businessman. I can't necessarily fault him, but that album was more or less a business transaction based on "Yeah, we heard In Utero and it was great. Here's some money".

I'd happily listen to his work with Jesus Lizard, Pixies, Breeders, PJ Harvey or virtually anyone else first...

I'll be one of those that say the Candlebox album is seriously underappreciated. Everything on it is top notch. They really crushed it at Woodstock '94.

Badmotorfinger, Dirt, Ten are the top three there for sure. Don’t get me wrong, I wore out my Nevermind cd back in the day as well, both those three along with Temple of the Dog and maybe Siamese Dream were my most listened to in my formative music years
