disneyDaf@reddit
Signed my divorce papers in that building. Good times.
truenorthomw@reddit (OP)
Sorry and/or congratulations š«”
thumpcbd@reddit
Most of the times itās both.
āIām sorry, and congratulationsā
Terrible_Law6091@reddit
"I'm not reading all that. I'm sorry and/or congratulations or whatever"
Byrdie_girl@reddit
Oh guess I use to have to drive past this at the exact moment
Miserable-Lie-6420@reddit
Someone should paint a soccer ball on the side
Tchaik748@reddit
better yet, ask ai to do it!!!!!
Miserable-Lie-6420@reddit
Ai said it would take all of lake grapevine for cooling to complete said task. Better yet, call Nabors demolition to point the death beam back to the sun.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaning_Tower_of_Dallas
Tchaik748@reddit
Oh, seems like a great idea !!!
No way it could backfire.
kelcamer@reddit
I laughed way too hard
Miserable-Lie-6420@reddit
Why? Itās a regurgitated joke..
kasperkami@reddit
Perhaps some whales
Version_Popular@reddit
Whales (rip) playing soccer
Miserable-Lie-6420@reddit
American Airlines headquarters on 360 in the morning also needs a soccer ball
tomato-bun@reddit
I second this smh
Candid-Smile7174@reddit
Fuck that. They should obviously just turn it into a giant soccer ball.
HolidayBall7852@reddit
Disco Ball for the World Cup!
leftnode@reddit
I worked on the 16th floor in the one that doesn't say iStation on the side in 2007. The lady in the basement deli made the best breakfast burritos.
Skittlez_With_A_Z@reddit
Archimedes death ray type shit.
FarmerPresent7365@reddit
These are iconic landmark structures. Anyone who dislikes them should consider why our culture never preserves history. These structures were built in the late 1970s and became iconic in the 1980s. Close your blinds and you will not be blinded by the sun.
SynthPrax@reddit
Isn't there something special about those windows? Like after the building was finished they stopped making those gold-filmed windows and they had to stockpile them?
grim1757@reddit
Yes, the gold color is actually a gold film layer. When Fina Moved out I handled the gut and redo as the PM for the GC who did it. We had to change some of the windows for the lobby reconfiguration and that row of windows, roughly at the Parking lot grade, we wound up using gold colored tinted glass but actually NOT gold like the original ones as they weren't made or weren't cost effective, and if you know what your looking for you can tell but not to the average person.
R_437@reddit
The glass actually has gold embedded in it, itās not a plastic film, and they keep extras in their basement.
almightymegala@reddit
I literally just said this to my bf driving there the other day
blzsoul@reddit
I live in Richardson and can see it shining on 75 from my apartment...
TakingSorryUsername@reddit
Campbell Centre, I saw a generator get set on the roof with a helicopter there on the north(?) tower
YoungLightning@reddit
I station was hype as a kid. I loved the asteroid shooter game after finishing the work
CatOfSachse@reddit
I was part of the original cohort back when it was a research study. Happy it made it this far now.
MetalAngelo7@reddit
Did anyone else remember the worms?
UX-Edu@reddit

DueBackground7945@reddit

iDerailThings@reddit
Ahh, the Campbell towers. I used to work there. I would love getting my afternoon coffee and watching the beautiful golden reflection blind oncoming traffic on 75.
HoustonNativeGworl@reddit

redlead3@reddit
We were at the hospital on the 10th floor yesterday and I thought it was West of us and the sun was setting over there... Nope just this building reflecting the sunset

toodleroo@reddit
Campbell Center. I used to work there a long time ago.
NoriNatsu@reddit
Correct me if Iām wrong, if it wasnāt them wasnāt there a building in DFW that one day it got so hot that when the building reflected the light into a parking lot nearby it melted some tires on some cars?
drowse@reddit
There was one that went up across Woodall Rogers that was damaging art in the Trammel Crow buildings
Ok-Goal-8767@reddit
Love that building
AraxxorKiller@reddit
You should be arrested
xoxo_angelica@reddit
Me too. Lots of dramatics about how āblindingā it is. The way golden hour hits this building always makes me feel at home. Even in bumper to bumper traffic it has a way of making me feel cozy and nostalgic. The super powered LED headlights on every single car now which are actually blinding to the point of being a hazard, however, do not harken to warm and fuzzy feelings.
Oxcell404@reddit
Itās so good!

nexea@reddit

Guy-1nc0gn1t0@reddit
Stumbled into here from r/popular. Fun fact: the guy's name is Limmy he's a comedian and had one of his sketches references in the new Lego Batman game and seeing him find out was greatĀ Ā
Initial-Button8047@reddit
that building hits different when the sun catches it just right and suddenly youre driving through what feels like a different city
manderz________@reddit
Itās called The Gild. Really.
yanyancookies@reddit
Itās been almost 5 years since I moved from Dallas. This post still stopped me mid-scroll and gave me flashbacks immediately. Amazing lol
UX-Edu@reddit
I used to work in that building!
SynthPrax@reddit
You learn real fast when the gold is gonna getcha each day.
Soundwave234@reddit
You can feel the heat from the reflection in your vehicle if you catch it just right.
HopingToBetter@reddit
I work in this building. It's brutal when you forget your cell phone and have to go back right around 7pm šš„“
Ham-Ha@reddit
Hahahha
