Looking for information on a gun I traded for on a whim. I already have a batch of improvements on the way, but I’m curious who knows some of the backstory on this model specifically.

get a feeler gauge and check your bolt gap to make sure it's within spec (0.25mm to 0.45mm), sometimes genuine HK parts aren't direct fit because Century uses Portuguese G3 surplus parts when they put them together

You need to send it to me for… uh… professional evaluation or something.

Sure just need your name, SSN, address for legitimate business purposes 🤣

I believe this is the exact gun that gave Century Arms a reputation for horrific bad QC. They got a large batch of CETME parts kits and absolutely butchered the receivers and final assembly. They would do stuff like taking a grinder to the bolt to achieve proper headspace (this is not how you headspace these roller delayed guns btw). At the very least Google “check bolt gap on CETME/HK91 and make sure you’re familiar with that. Look for signs of grinder marks on the rear of the bolt (side that faces bolt carrier). Watch out for roller dents in the receiver too.

Whole lot? No. But a furniture set is $25. a muzzle break? $25… mags $10…. It came with a spare bolt assembly and 5 mags. At the end of the day it’s an entry point, not the end of the road, but is a free chance to play with the platform.

Fair enough. I’m a huge fan of the G3/CETME platform, and all the other roller guns in the HK family. Hope this one ends up being serviceable for you!

In the end it will be. How much it costs to get there… we shall see.

I beleive you're going to have to get it threaded if you want a muzzle device.

Indeed. It‘ll get done once I get the muzzle device
