I got fired from my first job at Walmart. It felt terrible at the time but it was for the best for me. I hope you’re okay financially and you can find a new one soon :) enjoy your shredded rat
FarAmphibian4236@reddit (OP)
Yooo yea walmart was hell. I was at times hoping to be fired. But I was genuinely trying my best, I'd just not be able to do enough in a day. I was only ever in one other department, for 2.5 years, then this one for like 3 months. I had a feedback for someone else's mistake, I was afraid to open door. Then I got double jeopardy for productivity which I did improve and they acknowledged it but it technically was 4 points away from the average they wanted me to reach so I got a second coaching. Months later and I switch departments, there's no metrics, I literally did not get a full day of training and was left by myself within the first week, and they coached me again, I didn't improve despite there being no teamlead to train from for 7 hours out of my work day and I tried talking to coaches to learn and I tried asking my coworkers. Eventually I knew enough but I couldn't keep up which I feel really embarrassed about
Kmartomuss@reddit
Sounds like the culture of the job is not very friendly? Sounds like they train who they want to train, which is probably whoever they want to be promoted up with them.
msguider@reddit
Don't be embarrassed! Walmart tire lube express hired me and the only training I got was like a 15 min training video and then I'm underneath a car draining oil and changing tires. I know i screwed up some vehicles. I had decent coworkers though, sound like yours were not. I'm genuinely sorry! If it makes you feel better, I rage quit after a 0.05 cent raise. Don't work for a big corporation is what I learned, I've done it several times and every GD time i tell myself I'll never do it again. BTW If that's chicken+stuffing that actually looks good!
AquaGB@reddit
That does sound like hell!
TequieroVerde@reddit
It's dehumanizing.
Bucsfan292@reddit
There’s a shredded chihuahua in there?????
Kjb72@reddit
That's way too much meat.
Scuddie-@reddit
You’ve clearly never met my chihuahua. Damn Obese ratatouille looking sob!
NiobiumThorn@reddit
Gotta slice her up and gently grill her to render out the fat, wagyu style
Scuddie-@reddit
I don’t think she’d taste very good with her attitude she probably would have tough meat lol
Nothunter421@reddit
Must show 😭

Rice, cheese, avocado, and white onion? I know I’m missing something
FarAmphibian4236@reddit (OP)
Missing zucchini, kale, tomato sauce, shrimp, Italian sausage, mushrooms, carrots, and celery. I thought I was making soup, then it was mostly rice. It ended up better as burrito filling and now... this.. oh I also added like a whole patty of ground turkey. Dog food for people
OwenWilsonsNoseWow@reddit
Buddy, you should’ve just added more broth till it was soup again. Probably even just water with that many ingredients 😂

FarAmphibian4236@reddit (OP)
Correct, it's chihuahua cheese
Sea_Structure_8692@reddit

I used to work at the factory they made this cheese at and yeah, the first day I was like "huuhh??"
Stuff is great though.
regeya@reddit
Yeah, Chihuahua is a state in Mexico. The dog breed and type of cheese come from there.
Now I'm amusing myself with the notion of that happening in the US.
"What breed is your dog?"
"Alabama"
"What kind of cheese is on this burger?"
"Idaho."
Right_Raspberry_6613@reddit
Look at it as work experience learn from it. Also walmart is a horrible company to work for they treat they're employees like literal robots and expect them to be perfect for shit pay.
Fucky0uthatswhy@reddit
I got fired from delivering pizzas a few years ago because I “didn’t seem like I wanted to be there enough.” Well that restaurant is gone, and in its place is a giant house that I now manage making 10x what I did at the pizza place. It doesn’t always have to be a bad thing
LCranstonKnows@reddit
Is... Is it dog? :(

I hate to be the downer in the comments, but what's it like to be at a job for even a year? 🥹
I can't picture anything past 9 months. Its my personal record. I'm 30 and I'm bewildered when I hear people say they've been at a job for several years. I don't ever last anywhere no matter how hard I try.
Before anyone gets on my ass, I have taken several proactive steps this year- I got into state vocational rehabilitation and into therapy so I'm getting things figured out. Turns out I'm really disabled.
Either way OP, I'm sorry this happened, I guess the takeaway from my comment is that it could be far worse.
Disastrous_Style_477@reddit
I've been in my job 19 years. Hate it but I've been there too long now to leave
MikeTheTA@reddit
No you haven't.
People get laid off all the time.
You should have a backup plan and an upskill in progress.
blaaksheepp@reddit
Hey if you don't mind me asking what steps did you take to find out you have things considered a disability I have so much wrong with me low vision fused vertebrae and have had open heart surgery at 31 but I keep getting told I can't be disabled.
Awoo_vement@reddit
That's absolutely ridiculous that that's happening to you, but my own challenges are mental/behavioral/+ a personality disorder, One of which was undiagnosed/went unchecked for years.
When I applied for help with state vocational rehabilitation, they approved my case saying it was "...in the most disabled category." How it went under the radar for so long is beyond me, because I certainly knew something was going wrong with me and I wasn't the one failing, others were failing me.
I will say starting with full documentation from a specialist/primary care is usually the first step, but I can't speak too much to more physical health issues.

BPD?
me1stgmmegmme@reddit
Yup 1.5 years is when I usually snap. Fired or walk out. I’ve had like 20 different jobs and have never once given a two week notice.
zorggalacticus@reddit
I'm the opposite. I was at my last job 12.5 years. Left voluntarily to go to my current job. Be here 3 years in September. Long as the pay is decent and I can stand the bosses I really have no complaints. I just work fast and the day flies by.
ThiccNibba4000@reddit
9 months is more than some people.
Good job on taking steps to recognize there was something going and taking some steps!
Working for a few years at the same place is kinda boring to be honest, if I didn’t have a family to support I’d be out after 6 months at each job. I get bored so quickly no matter what I’m doing.
I work in an office setting and I loved it for awhile but it’s so monotonous, I’m grateful I’ve moved up as quick as I have and my employer realized my potential and paid for college. If pay wasn’t an issue I’d work at a comic shop, fast food place, card stores, and automotive assembly. I love all of those things and it sucks that most don’t pay well without years of experience or ownership.
Good luck my friend!
Awoo_vement@reddit
I think honestly its the financial instability that follows the never keeping work that's really kicked me down time and again. I don't know what "stability" looks or even feels like.
All of that said, thank you for your words of encouragement.

I see big pieces of onions and fennel so I’m thinking Italian sausage? A bit of cheese. The green mush may be avocado. Very interesting
SpringBeginning1298@reddit
Yikes! So sorry.... hopefully you find something soon.
TitianBelle@reddit
I’m so sorry. Been there and it’s a crappy experience. Just don’t let it mess with your confidence. Take what you learned and put it towards your next job. I’m sure you’ll feel better after you eat whatever health abomination is on that plate. 😉

I am going with natural quesadilla style cheese for melting.
First one sucks. Not that the others get any better. My first was after helping spearhead a corporate zero tolerance policy for cash handling, one of my management trainees and I failed to ensure the deposit fell out of the spindle safe. It was still there then next morning and the other manager in the store saw his chance and told our district manager.
New stuff on the horizon for you. But first, take a week and go have some fun. Dont even think about a job hunt until you’ve done that. You’re not in the right headspace yet.
carknut@reddit
You're telling me they shredded chihuahuas?
