I’d rather have a 15 than a 10 I’m almost thinking even a 13. 18 is the way to go. My E model is at about 560 hp but I have problems keeping the exhaust temp down. W-9 can handle that better than a T6 because of the added grill area.

13 speed is easiest to drive 18 speed makes the most sense, I absolutely hate 10 speeds

My dad who’s gone now drove a semi for over 40 years. He swore by a cat and the last truck he had was a 425 cat Kenworth and that thing could pull a hill like nothing I’ve ever seen. He would hit huge hill with full load and it didn’t break speed or slow down at all. While all other trucks would slow tremendously dads 425 kenworth just walked off and left them all. I loved that truck and miss it and miss riding with my dad in it.

I’m sure he was a cool dude, I don’t know what region of the country you’re from. Where Im at in SC we dont have to many big grades. But theres Mont Eagle in TN and the guy I bought this truck from says at 80,000lbs this truck will pull its without dropping below 60mph so I can’t wait to test it.

He did long trips out west and would go through a lot of mountains. We are from Indiana which is flat as all get out lol. Yeah if hit a big mountain rolling around 70 or so just say thing wouldn’t break speed and would just own that mountain. That’s amazing considering how much weight that truck is carrying. If you are SC probably not far from my family. We reside in north eastern mountains of Georgia.

Man had a monster rig for sure then. I’m pretty close to GA on its east border near Augusta. I go all over too. From Seattle to Miami and New Hampshire to Cali. It’s decent money probably better back in his day, brokers try to eat every crumb if you let them. But I like the soul that trucking had when I was a child, and these types of trucks have soul. Love old iron.
