every company I ever worked for went through a Chiropractor for our DOT's and drug screenings. so I'm curious if that's a common practice or just a coincidence
if its common practice why?

Chiripractors pass anyone and everyone. All the fat out of shape high blood pressure guys from my jpb go to the chiropractor for their exam even though if you go to the urgent care its free. My company pays for it. They pay out of their own pocket cause chiro gonna give them a 2yr card where free company dr might not pass them.

Chiropractors are quackery snake oil salesmen. They've flooded instagram and youtube with "massage porn" as the newest get rich quick scheme. It's no surprise they also do as much low effort drug screening type work as they can as well.

I got my last dot physical at a chiropractor. I live in a small town and was able to do it on a Saturday. Didn’t even have to take time off work.

While this is a neat story were you planning to answer the question?

Yes, because they're unethical so they are willing to pass anyone who can drag themselves through the door with enough money. They're attractive to the average trucker who's got one foot in a coffin. Real doctors don't want to spend the 15 minutes it takes to run the tests because it's too much time and they can't charge that much when cut rate chiropractors are doing it and it's not covered by insurance.

It's a cheap easy thing to do for chiropractors to add extra income. They're willing to go through the hassle of getting their CME where regular Drs prefer not to.
