Building a desktop that will be used as a home office pc and for general gaming. I will also be using this desktop for sensitive and important personal business data that I want to avoid losing for many years to come. I do plan to back up the drive frequently but I still want to get as much durability as possible for my money.

I originally settled on the Samsung 860 but the Micron 5200 Max closely matches it in performance, price and warranty. The scale tipper for me appears to be that the endurance is several fold better for the Micron, equivalent to the endurance of the 4tb 860 Pro. 1tb Micron doubles that endurance and 2tb doubles it again.

What say you BAPC? Is this the deal Ive been looking for?
