Hello i’m looking to build a pc for around $1.7k USD in the pc (i alr have a m&k and a monitor). i’m mostly looking to run around 200-240fps on COD which is what i’ll mostly be playing. Im not super knowledgeable about most parts but im thinking about having a rtx50 series but other than that im not really sure what specs will run my desired fps..Thanks!

You near a microcenter brother? What resolution is your monitor?
Personal-Swimmer3559@reddit (OP)
nearest micro center is 3 hours lol and i’ll run 1080p or 2k and i play comp so ill be running best settings for performance but still want to maybe play other games at 100 fps on high settings if possible

They have some banger deals on prebuilds:

Not sure one which you're near so I chose a random one, so inventory may vary.
This is as close as I could get to your budget without sacrificing some things: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Kjk2mL
CPU: 7800x3d, excellent cpu, will pump out frames for you. To downgrade to a 7500x3d only saved about $50, so I didn't think the downgrade was worth it, but if it is, you can swap it for sure.
CPU cooler: valuetown cooler.
RAM: great ram. 32gb. We could go down to 16gb to save some money now, but you'd eventually want to upgrade to 32gb, cause 16gb will start to hinder you eventually. Some new AAA titles already recommend 32gb.
GPU: 5070, best RTX you can get in your budget, if you want to game 2K, I wouldn't not suggest going down to a 5060
Case: good case with fans installed, good cooling.
PSU: valuetown PSU
Let me know your thoughts.

yes

FYI incase I get grilled for prices i gave. Im not us based, im the from UK. All prices I just googled avg usa price.
Amd ryzen 7800x3d $340 ish 9800x3d if you can price it in.
Rtx 5070 $530 ish get the ti if you can get a deal or fit budget. Amd alternative is a 9070xt
32gb 6000mhz cl30 ddr5 ram kit $350-$500 as ram is 2nd most pricey part behind gpu you can either have higher timing so cl36 or go for a slower speed 5600mhz or 5200mhz as these are cheaper.
At least 1tb gen 5 m.2. 2tb if you can price it in. A 2tb gen 4 m.2 is still really good. If it fits budget better.
Motherboard either b650 or an x870 whichever suits needs for future proofing extra m.2 slots and stuff. Maybe spend $200 tops
Case down to choice lian li o11 mini v2 is a nice case at decent price. Or find a case that comes with fans so you dont have to buy extra.
Psu according to Google msi mag a1000gl is best value 1000w psu. If not get a good brand 850w. The 1000 future proofing you a bit for more higher end gpus.
Hope this helps

Call of Duty is a heavily AMD-favored title for GPUs. If that's your main game, you should strongly consider an RX 9070 or 9070XT instead of an Nvidia GPU. It can be up to 25% faster than equivalent Nvidia GPUs.
